So maybe a Catted header - OEM over pipe - OEM front pipe - and a 'quiet' aftermarket catback would be more inline with my goals.
i think Catted header with OEM front pipe and your ARK CBE would be plenty quiet enough.

JDL also has a Catted EL version as well folks. Honestly though any aftermarket header Catted or not will be louder then stock, there is no free lunch in this regard.

^Agreed

I just don't want it to be too much louder then my DT-S with ARK test pipe. Stock is waaaaay to quiet, I love the sound and volume of my current exhaust I just want the performance gains of a header with minimal increase in volume.

^ I've heard that is a super raspy setup, I think I saw a video on it a while back.

Thanks Sypher, that is almost exactly the setup I was looking for. I read that thread last night and it seams promising. I just hope the lead time is not as bad as they say.

I have this set up kind of.... expect I have the borla axleback from factory. I installed the ofh and nameless overpipe/front pipe with resonator at the same time and I was shocked how quite the car was initially. Cold start is a bit loud but that is expected. Once the car is warmed up its very quiet.
So I wouldn't say going catless means your going to be super loud. Rasp/volume has a lot to do with you cat back set up.

Borla EL plus stock exhaust makes no significant amount of noise, except for a hissing sound at certain throttle/rpm combos.

no problem. glad i could help

the lead time is pretty long right now from what i've read but they did just improve their design and reduced the number of welds by close to half. should speed things up a bit

+1

Do you still have your OEM front pipe? That would be an east test before / if you ditch your catback.
