Stage one tune and I swear I hit rev limit at 58 or so

Yeah using shiv's ESC tune. I will double check the fittings and let you know what I find out.
Thanks for the reply!

As for Shif7i7down he seemed to be getting not enough voltage and a CEL, neither of which are issues of mine.

I don't really want to buy snow tires because most years we only get about 5 days of snow per year... and I work from home 95% of the time... and if I have to go anywhere in the snow, I can always take our Accord.

However, I fear that if I buy Pilot Super Sports, I'll have a car that's completely useless in winter (however, I didn't find the car completely useless in winter on the stock tires - it was just completely useless if there was any snow on the road... which was seemingly every other day this last winter).

What I want is more grip than stock, but I want to be able to drive in wet and cold conditions. As far as wet/cold traction are the PSS's better or worse than the stock tires?
The new Pilot A/S 3s are supposed to be the holy grail of 3 season tires. Nearly as grippy as Pilot Sports, but totally functional in rain and light snow. Search the board, and Tirerack, the testimonials are strong.

It looks like 1st or maybe 2nd gear pulls... duration of WOT looks like ~ 1.5 seconds... full boost in ~800ms... 2 psi in 600ms. It looks fine.

Do a 3rd or 4th gear pull 2500 to redline.

Yeap, the gearing only allows that. Using torque to do this is ridiculously inaccurate

That may well be, but then the speedo must be off, too. Stock, I could hit 59 mph on the speedo (and torque would not give me a 0-60 reading until I shifted to 3rd.

With the ESC and the OFT ESC tune, in 2nd gear I can hit 61 on the speedo AND torque gives me a 0-60 reading.

I know this post is about snow/cold, but does this mean that the pilot ss are not very good in the rain?
I have been a fan of the potenza re750(when they still made them in 15'') since I got them for my 240. Right after I got them I tried an ebrake u turn at 30mph right after it rained, I stopped dead at 90 degrees. I have been sold on them ever since. I know they change compounds every year even on the same tires, but I was planning to try the pilots out due to reviews, but won't if they suck in the wet.

ESC beat the gearing?
Torque is too slow as well.

Pilot SuperSports are excellent in the rain for Max Summer Performance category (perhaps best in class). The Pilot A/S 3s will be even better. So your choice will be more about how much inclement weather you get per year. Also keep in mind tarmac/street temperatures. The SS like warmer temps, the A/S 3s will be sticky in cooler temps.

Wow. The A/S 3's are 45,000 miles and $153 each - pretty good price.

Has anyone heard any updates on the E85 tune? I have been busy moving, haven't tried contacting Shiv. Thought I'd check here first in case anyone has heard anything.
