If you like new Ferraris, you can thank the NSX for that.

New? Yes. Nicely equipped? Not by Porsche standards. It's shocking how fast you can get to $20k in options on a new Porsche.

(That having been said, $77k does get you all the options you really need, unless you just like loading up the car with all the bells and whistles)

If you're asking, you can't afford it (or at least you can't afford to buy it and enjoy it like it should be).

Huh? 77k is what the heavily loaded models I saw on the dealer lot were going for. If you skip the PDK you can get full leather interior too, with 77k. All the cars had all the infotainment packages, PDK, 20" wheels, 18 way seats, matched paint pieces, partial leather, the only way you could've made them more expensive was by adding ceramic brakes and active suspension and the like.

If you're getting paint matched body panels, why wouldn't you splurge for the ceramic brakes and active suspension? Quit thinking like a poor person!

There are a lot out there with 30k miles for half that price. Just seems like a better investment

$77k! Wtf. I love the NSX but not $77000 kind of love. That's Porsche turbo, Viper, GTR, and possibly and older Ferrari type money.

It hit BAT, similar comments there, very nice, maybe worth the money to a collector but not to an enthusiast. Worth noting, the car isn't actually listed for $77k, that's the sellers reference point an another low mileage NSX, I'll be surprised if the bidding surpasses $70k and actually goes home to the winner. Currently at $66.2k with three bids, it started at $66k, probably not the storm of speculators the owner expected.

Don't lift on a NSX

Interesting perspective from an ex automotive editor for Car & Driver.

I have never driven an NSX but I did drive the Car and Driver test loop in Hocking Hills in my MR-S. My son was with me in his FR-S. It was a good day of driving but I can certainly understand how you can get in serious trouble there if you are not careful. Interesting video. I guess the new NSX will have little in common with the original due to the weight, sophistication and drivetrain.

Years ago, I wrote a letter to CD that got published. Something about being the only one who imagined him in a bikini filled with his giant csabas. My brush with automotive fame.

And the NSX is meh.
