Awesome. Glad we could help

Shoot me your phone number via PM. I'm pretty sure we can sort this out painlessly

Could use a little painlessly right now. Sent some attachments to your shop (.bin's, .jpg & OFT log), but haven't heard back. Tried the battery disconnect, nothing changed.

Check the phone number you PMd me. Tried calling it and it says the number has been changed or disconnected. I think you may have given me the wrong one

I have a question because I am close to buying the OFT my car is currently getting the "newest" ecm and I am wondering if there are any problems with writing to this ecm. It is not just an older flashed ecm but a new part number (waiting to get paperwork to verify which part #).

Anyone used the OFT with this newest ecm?

Thanks

afaik there is no new hardware available. they list the ecu firmware as a part number, but it's still just a flash, and OFT works fine with the newest version (B01).

Do you guys keep your OFT plugged in all the time? I have mine mounted on the dash and its a pain to keep unplugging it and plugging it back in.

Shiv, are there any plans to have it auto shut off when the car is off and auto on when it is?

Kind of tired seeing the "Operation failed" screen everytime I start the car in the morning.

And is it OK to have the tab always plugged in and "on"?

Dont believe its going to hurt tablet, hopefully the plastics are uv stabilised and wont deteriorate with long periods exposed to sun.
You might also get Screen burn effect from having same image up constantly on screen

The tablet may also drain battery if car not used for some time imagine a week or more

The operation failed comes up each time the tablet loses communication to ecu ie you turn car off or start

I wonder if you could mod a cable to have a simple on/off toggle switch to power wire(s)?

Actually it is a new ECM, new part number was installed and failed to marry to the car so they had to put my old one back in. I posted a separate thread about this. The ECU/ECM flash tsb was pulled as I am told because they failed to work with old ecm correctly.

Hmm, wonder what issues they discovered. My FR-S is first run, came with 700 firmware. I was flashed to B01 a month ago and it's working great. Do you have a source for this info?
