I guess the s2k,rx8,miata,rx7,itr,and LFA didn't come out after the NSX. I hope some of you guys take this review with a massive grain of salt. Not saying I dont believe the car is great but you can honestly see BS when its written.

LOL at the LFA. Maybe the reviewer meant "best affordable sports car to come out of Japan since the NSX." But I do think the S2K and RX8 could probably give the BRZ a run for its money. |

Car magazines are like marketing arms of the auto business with the amount they praise new models. But I do get the feeling that they really do have a hard on for this car.

also the nsx is an entry-level super car. I hope its above the s2000 in regards to driving. I've never driven an s2k but have driven an nsx.

I'm no fan of the 370Z (too heavy, bulbous), and I like the FR-S/BRZ better, but

I think that would only apply if the 370z driver didn't know it was a contest... |

On a twisty road is what the reviewer said in the article itself. And yeah, I think the 370Z looks like a fat pig, or maybe an overweight Bulbasaur. In terms of looks, it's a step down from the 350Z for me.

Not doubting it's validity, but this article reads like a BRZ ego-stroke. I was expecting a bit more technical and anecdotal feedback. Still a good read. My favorite part of all the reviews is when they start talking about seating position and pedal placement. Too high and it feels like you're sitting in a truck, too low and you can't see over the dash, too far back and you can't reach the pedals, too close and your up against the wheel.

I don't even think its safe to pass a car on a twisty road. On a track is a totally different story.

2000 rpm range with 200+ hp vs. 1rpm peak at 200hp. I don't know what the S2000 c.g. height is, but I doubt it's much (if any) higher. I don't think the S2000 is not going to have any problem with the FR-S/BRZ at the track or autoX. |

I did say it would be close. And looking at the torque curves again, I think these two cars would be neck and neck. |

Handling, the AP1 S2000 is about the same weight but has better weight distribution and double-wishbones all around. The AP2 has a bit more wheel width and more tire as well (but a smidge heavier). The FR-S/BRZ are going to be comparable to the RX-8 in terms of performance. Excellent company! But slower than the S2000... |
