You're correct, it is a 4-2-1.

However the internal and external heat treatment won't be on most Nameless manifolds Having not seen a Nameless manifold I can't comment on whether they are the same, we were told they were exclusive. It may well be the coating that's exclusive as that makes a fair difference.

As for pricing, it quite....er.... Interesting isn't it?! There were quite a few jaws dropping on reveal.

However I spent some time with their lead engineer and we saw a FA20 on an engine dyno. They have evaluated the whole engine and was interesting discussing their findings. They have used full engine development software based on an engine tear down to get dimensions and specs etc.

The things that stick out in memory:
-Stock airbox is good for at least 300bhp
-the main resonator does help for NA cars, the others make no difference and the sound generator does affect performance.
-The air feed/snorkel is not a restriction.
-Cams aren't worthwhile

e
Questions if I may:
Main resonator meaning which one?
The sound generator affects performance in what way?

That will be VERY interesting to see then, I assume the main resonator is the largest one off to the left of the intake box? The header comes very close to it and I nearly melted it with all the idling I did at my last autocross. i was just going to drill out the rivets and remove it, but now I'll have are think if it actually affects performance (I assume it is mostly in low end torque). For reference I have the nameless header (coated) and the one in the Cosworth video looks to be the same.

I would suspect the price of the cosworth stage 1 to somewhat less than the Uk price. Perhaps even half.

because British money is worth more and they get paid the same numeric amount we do except in their more valuable money, so the people with the same jobs as we do over here can afford the GT86

I can tell you the stage 1.3 package is not even close to $6700. It's not cheap either (same price as our turbo kit) but not that expensive.

Nice one!

The US is the promised land of vehicle ownership. It's not as cheap anywhere else in the whole world. If we all honestly knew how good we had it, we'd probably all be driving mustangs and vettes.

Unless this PD supercharger is reasonably priced and performs, I won't even consider.

The fact that the bolt on package with header costs as much as MAPerformance's turbo just ended this thread for me. Cosworth is a big time name and I understand paying for quality, but I don't see where the extra gains are to justify paying more for a pretty Cosworth badge.

the only thing I know is going na on a 4 cyl is more costly $ per hp ratio than boost thats a known fact thats existed many moons ago so even if cosworth's prices are higher than other brands/parts dollar for dollar na is just expensive period

I can see now why they were not forthcoming with Ecutek tuning to support their header.

I think some some people will have a hard time believing this.

Stage 1.1
Cosworth cat-back

Cosworth drop in filter
Ecutek software and tune

Stage 1.2
All of the above and front pipe/overpipe combo

Stage 1.3
Everything in 1.2 and thermal coated header

Did these package approved by CARB?
I just moved to CA for my new job. ><
Thanks.
