Nobody knows how well the v2 will last in DD form, but the original RS3 did tend to heat cycle out (get hard enough to be uncompetitive) within 6 months if daily driven.

I'm DDing 235 ZIIs, I'm really liking them as both an everyday and an autocross tire. I'm starting to get the hang of them.

I noticed that the Strano swaybar was banging into the subframe more often with a passenger now that my front bumpstops have been cut down, so I got under there and checked the bar alignment. It turns out that the bar is perfectly centered and it is hitting on both sides. Since the car is still understeering too much anyway, I ordered the Perrin 19mm adjustable front bar. It's supposed to be either 25% or 72% stiffer than OE, so that sounds like a winner with two usable adjustments. Hopefully the new bar combined with the new RS3's will be the end of my frustrations!

You may not have a Belle Tire in Georgia, but I can tell you for sure that Discount Tire will not mount them. Don't bother with those jerkoffs.
Belle tire mounted my 245/40/17's without issue....but it took some short guy with HUGE arms to do it. |

I got my 245 RS3's mounted up. The stacked height went from just over 38" unmounted to 36.25 or so mounted. The 235 Z2's were around 35" mounted.
I've got my nationals placeholder inserted. I've gotta make a decision within the next event or so what car/class I will run this year.

I finally got to test out the new tires and swaybar yesterday, and the results are promising. The car definitely got faster and easier to drive fast. The course was a bit small, but speeds were decently high enough for a good assessment. The tires did not fully break in, though. Still have some glossy spots, and all flames are still visible
Front shoulder wear is definitely higher than the Z2's were getting, but it was expected. It was good enough for 2nd overall PAX position, so definitely the improvement I was looking for. Need another event to really decide if this setup is good enough for nats.Pax results, note how extremely tight it was at the top: https://axwaresystems.com/axorm/file...orrect_pax.htm Video of best run, some unintentional coasting entering the back sweeper: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-00Ot_r3Rz4"]CS BRZ at SASCA 06/22/14 - YouTube[/ame] Full setup reset: - 2014 BRZ Limited - 245/40R17 RS3V2'S on RPF1's. 38F/32R pressure - Perrin 19mm front bar on stiff setting (74% stiffer than stock) - Koni Yellow shocks set full stiff up front and 1 turn from soft in the rear - Max front camber with crash bolts, 0 toe. 1/8" in per side on the rear - Perrin 2.5" unresonated catback

I'm still weighing the option to codrive in a 370Z. The owner is considering switching from the RE11's to RS3V2's, so I'll swap cars with him again once he pulls the trigger to see which car I'm driving at nationals. I'm feeling pretty okay about the BRZ right now, though. It may still not be the car to have, but it won't suck.

I ran superfresh RS3v2's yesterday too. "Yikes". They were getting noticeably grippier with each run, but I still feel like it will take another event or 2 to get them to come in fully.

stranno is supposed to be 84% stiffer than stock, do you think it was worth purchasing the perrin for a 10% reduction in stiffness?

The Perrin bar was also very much worth it from the standpoint that the Perrin fits the car much better than the Strano did. At least on my car, the Strano bar was hitting both frame rails during hard braking over bumps. It was perfectly centered - it hit both sides at the same time. YMMV, and it may not have issues if aftermarket endlinks are used. If you're interested in trying it out, I'll let it go cheap.
