Little different than changing underwear This is a $1500 job that so far is a failure. Toms are on their way, hoping for the best.

Got both our cars. She has yet to call her insurance company or return my insurance company's calls.

If this was something I could just buff out and have a couple little scrapes, I would have been all about it. I'm pretty picky with my cars. I've been the second owner of a guy who did a lot of "oh well" respones and it was a MESS to clean up. I won't be that guy

How is it a failure? That looks pretty good...to my undiscerning eyes lol

Also I don't know how picky you can be, getting your bumper hit damages the areas where the bumper bolts on, etc. The place where the frame bolts to the panel got bent a little on my car for example.

Already done Painter was GREAT! HE knew I wouldn't be happy. He told me not to feel bad, he wanted to make me happy. And looking forward to your post! Always enjoy them

It is WAY too light. Bumpers don't match, but don't stand out. That is my issue with the bumper. Not look for perfect, just not an eye sore. "failure" is kind of harsh of a word, but it doesn't work. Even by "industry standards" (stand back and look and make sure it doesn't stand out)

I gotta say.....if that is the space you were in (where your car is in the pictures) then she was on the wrong side of the road and it is a double line. I'd say without a doubt it was her fault. Hope you called the police. I would not settle for some 50/50 BS type of settlement. I'd say the pictures pretty much prove it.....unless you had backed out far enough that your rear end was in her lane, but it would still be her fault since you were in the first spot, so how could she not see you backing out?

I'm with you! Sadly, unless there is an injury, it is REALLY hard to get the police to come out for a fender bender. To my knowledge, she STILL has not contacted her insurance (which, since I have, could automatically put the blame on her). I just (a foot or two) started backing out when I was hit. Since I was not outside the car I cannot say for certain that she crossed the line, but everything in my mind is pointing to that. Location of the marks on both of our cars point to her hitting me while I was sideways, meaning she came into my lane.

Sadly, I have a funny feeling a resolution might take awhile. I'm happy I went ahead and got the car started. I'll keep everyone updated and I am seriously crossing my fingers that the color matches well enough. I REALLY like this car and hoped to hold onto it for a good, long time.
