Question on pulleys

I'm considering buying a set of pulleys for my car (weekend car use, trackday/autocross every couple of months).

There are sets of 1, 2 (Perrin), 3 (Buddy club, raceseng) or 5 pulleys (raceseng). How much extra benefits do I get from each of them?

Every seller out there has info on the benefits of the lighter pulleys, but what I want to know is the downside of changing the pulleys.

Today I found out:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ghlight=pulley

"This pulley kit is designed and intended for motorsport applications. Running the air conditioner and headlights at idle can cause an insuffieient battery charge."

Anything else I should think about and consider before buying?

This subject has already been done to death.
I will summarize it for you:
1/ OMG!! This mod has released at least 40 megaWatts and now I can beat Veyrons from the lights.
2/ This mod is a waste of money and you would be better off going on a diet.

A search on these forums of "light weight pulley" would have given you these results in addition to the link above. This is not the full list.

That is funny. I was just commenting the other day at the vintage car races.
People spend thousands of dollars to shed a couple of pounds from their car, then you see a 280 lb man squeezing into a spitfire.

Not worth it. If you go with induction or some other real performance improvement it isn't going to care about those pulleys. Also, there is a reason some things have mass. There is a reason a tuba sounds like a tuba and a piccolo sounds like a piccolo too. Just my two cents. Some folks love them.
