Yeah, I need a boost gauge, I am maxing out at 6.2 when on WOT..seems right, but I would rather know for sure - than rely on Torque (app)

Ross from our AVO Japan office recently went to Indonesia to do 10 AVO turbocharger kits ranging from stage 1 to stage 3 at Racetech, our official distributor.

Loving the kit I bought just a week ago. My only issue is that my Intake pipe to the turbo will not stay after a good amount of pulls. Everytime I stop I find myself looking under the hood to make sure it hasnt moved much or any at all. Is there a way to correct this? I've tried getting it as flush as possible and still have issues with it slowly slipping off.

As long as you get the pipe on as far as it will go and you get the clamp on straight, it should be fine. I ended up using a t-clamp and I haven't noticed any movement since. There is no positive pressure on that hose so there isn't much danger of it popping off unless the intake pipe coming off the air box is leveraging it

Interesting...I'll find and buy one and give it a shot. Getting ready for a road trip and seeing that over the past few days didnt give me a good vibe. Thanks for the help

I hit past the 410whp and 356wtq mark last month on my 5th tune by @DeliciousTuning and that's with a stock air box at 16psi. Doing small modifications to the car right now to take it back for another tune. Still waiting to have my numbers confirmed on a Dyno-Jet or Dyna-Pack, as my tune was done on a Maha-Dyno.

Just installed the avo breather tank this evening. Removing and replacing the PCV valve was a major pain. My deep sockets were too long and would get stuck under the intake manifold.

I hope I routed the hoses properly. The instructions are OK but could be more specific.

So add me to the list of leaking header gaskets. It was initially installed with Grimmspeed gaskets but done before the support bracket shimming post was made. Everything was torqued and re-torqued after heat cycling a few times. I'm thinking maybe the header warped in that time without the spacer on the bracket? I've recently switched to OEM gaskets but the leak came back, I'm guessing due to warpage from the initial install. I'm currently awaiting word from Paul on the fix, but I'm thinking I may just get the header flanges planed to see if that will fix it. The small noise it makes honestly drives me nuts. Maybe I have OCD or something but I can't drive with my windows open with it leaking even a little bit

I'll post up results on how I get it fixed

Hey Protpipe,

What kind of mileage on the turbo? I'm about 2,000 miles using the gaskets from AVO but I'm not sure the difference between them and the Grimmspeed. The Avo gasket looks more substantial than the OEM but didn't need the spacer on the turbo bracket. Maybe try getting those from Paul now that they're supplied with the kits.

Gawd.. what a PITA is was installing the manifold, alone, without a lift. I hope mine don't leak.

BTW How do you tell where the leak comes from? I mean, do you get under there and listen by the manifold, then listen by the turbo then listen by the overpipe etc...?

Good luck with the repair.

Yeah I'm thinking avo gaskets may be part of the fix, but also if the header is already warped, I'm thinking I will need a new header. Not sure what effect the AVO header studs would have, but they now offer those on their website too.

The leak is pretty clear once you stick your head under the car

That was about 3 weeks ago I think, about a week after I had the OEM gaskets installed. I'm sure it's much worse now.

edit: Oh, and I have about 4,000km on the kit now.
