Our Hex Pads!

Apply wax & Glaze with our new "Wax & Glaze" Hex applicator pad. Spreading an even coat of protection and color enhancement simple and easy. Also perfect for applying Metal Shine!

"Soft Scrub" Hex Pad is a unique pad that gently buffs and polishes any surface while it safely cleans the area. The pad will pick up dirt and grime instead of smearing it across and against the exterior. It has a comfortable grip to it and is perfect for those tight spots and corners! The Soft Scrub Hex Pad also cleans off easy because it has a high support factor and resiliency rate, meaning it will always bounce back to original shape!

The "Shine & Conditioner" Hex Pad is perfect for applying Back to Black! Add a high gloss shine when using the compound to inner fenders, plastic, vinyl, and much more. Don't ruin your Microfiber towels, the Shine & Conditioner Hex Pad makes it easy! And all Stay Fresh Hex Pads clean easily because they have a high support factor and resiliency rate which makes them bounce back to original shape!

"Rough scrub" is a unique pad as it offers the ability to scrub with a bit more authority. Still soft but because of its closed cell form it lets you remove things our soft scrub pad cant. High support factor and resiliency rate which makes them bounce back to original shape!

Interesting, so i'm guessing Restore is compound. And renew and refresh are polish? Renew a harder polish and refresh a more jewelers polish?

That is correct! Paint correction is done in a step process.

For new cars obviously Restore 1 isn't needed

Renew 2 is a medium polish.

Refresh 3 being a final step polish.

Is something a newby can do? I was going to take my car to Gorilla Shine (an excellent local detail store) to get rid of the swirls that have already accumulated on my car. Otherwise, if it is doable for a novice. What supplies do I need? Any reference on how to use a DA and which one to get?

The best polisher for a novice would be the 7424xp by porter cable. It is an orbital polisher rather than a standard rotary so it is almost impossible to damage your paint. As for product, it will vary depending on what type of damage you have. Tiny and almost microscopic scratches will be taken care of by a fine polish. Any thing else will need a slightly stronger polish. Waxes that claim to repair scratches will only fill them in and not actually repair them, thus reappearing after time. I am currently tring out the products by Stay Fresh and they are working amazingly on restoring beaten and sunfaded paint on a 9 year old car.
