Best combo since my Ecutek flash and headers.

So as the title says this is the modification which netted the biggest improvement since my engine back exhaust install and flash.
Perrin shifter bushing, Perrin tranny mount insert, Mtec shift springs.
For the record i allready have changed tranny oil to Amsoil 75w90 and Perrin shift knob (slim knob stainless)
I have to say, when i changed the oil i noticed right away the tranny operated much smoother shift to shift , the shift knob gave a much better feel than the big bulky oem knob which made it feel like you were shifting with a plastic rod.
The shift bushing and tranny insert and springs completed this combo in making the transmission feel amazing, there is NO HVH at all i dont feel any vibration in the shift knob, there is tranny whine a bit but i actually love that sound and its very suttle im not even sure most people would notice, but now the shifts are very crisp and direct, i have to say if you have a lazy hand and prefer to lightly push the gears into place dont do it, but if you like to feel a firm and crisp engagement then it is most definitely as good as it can get, i love to feel a more metal on metal than a plastic on plastic feel. the springs help guide the gears into the next ,i tried misshifting and they actually help to make the gear selection fool proof in guiding them to the right gear, you no longer feel the shifter move up and down when your on/off/on/off the throttle doing spirited driving.
I would say the difference this has bright to the shift quality is comparable to the difference a ecutek flash brings to the engine, its not a hum i think it made a difference, its a YES i can noticeably feel a difference. This with the engine upgrades , suspension , wheels and tires have now made this car into a smooth riding daily driving street legal go-kart, i am now done modding this car.... until next week. Cheers to @PERRIN Mtec and ft86speedfactory.

Yup . Nothing new there. Quite a few of us have found out just how nice shifting is when putting in a rear bushing (they're all effectively the same), trans mount bushing, and especially mtec springs.

Go with a short shifter and it'll get even nicer if you like clicky shifts .

I used kartboy bushings, but perrin's stuff is identical in function and quality.

all in all if someone is looking for THE best bang for your buck for modding this car i would do 3 things, lowering springs ( i chose HR sport), software , and this combo. that will transform the car .

yah i like the Perrin stuff they have good customer service and nicely designed parts, not to mention they are on the west coast so shipping is faster , what kind of tranny oil are you running ? i really found the stock oil made the shifts even worse as soon as i switched the gears were alot smoother
