FA20 Stg 2 Ecutek flash or no?

So I have until Monday to make this decision. Do you guys think I should get the tune or not? I've read reviews, it seems great and sounds like it turns the car into a brand new monster. Just looking for thoughts and opinions if I should jump in, or use the $750 for something else. All thoughts and opinions are appreciated! Thanks

It's not going to be a brand new monster lol. But worth it if you don't have FI plans.

Even if you do plan to go FI down the road... most of the cost is the license and cable, which you will never have to buy again. The $2xx tune will be the only money wasted. If it will be a while before FI, it's not even a big waste then really.

Owned a unichip before and i really didnt notice any increase at all. Ive seen people get a unichip and then have their car dyno tuned and thats when they saw a little increase but if u think about it Unchip(450)+Custom Tuning($300-400 maybe even more) it evens out. Plus with ecutek you get other cool features like launch control, flatfoot shifting, autoblip, redline increase, racerom traction and e85 and turbo tunes if u decide to go down that route. If cobb came out then thats a great option but after owning a unichip i felt like i wasted money..just my two cents

Cobb has no intentions of building anything for the FR-S/BRZ. The Unichip sucks compared to a tuning solution like what Ecutek is offering now, there is a reason why it's usually the first tuning solution to come out and then people ditch them as better options come along . The only real option you have is to use a standalone ECU which is probably going to be $1500+.

Y do standalone. With Ecutek it almost seems as if u have full control of the ECU. u can even control boost pressure etc with it
