Got this mirrors too recently with turn signals added. But I didn't buy it cause of the blind spot you speak of. I've been driving my brz for nearly two years and never realized about that blind spot. lol

You really need two mirror settings. Out wide for highway driving so you can see what's going on in the lanes next to you, and closer in where you can see the side of your car for backing up and parallel parking. I'm hoping the Rexspeeds will allow good rearward vision for both of these needs.

How many of you don't do a head check as well? Do I need to add the FR-S/BRZ to the list of cars to stay far a way from when riding?

Head check is difficult due to the big blind spot obscured by pillars.

The problem most people have is they are used to looking for their blind spot behind the B pillar (in most sedans). In the twins with the long window that goes further back, you just need to look over. TL;DR Do your head checks people |

This one has one of the worst blind spots drivers side I ever encountered. Now I have a better view and it made a nice difference, OEM fit, for not a lot of money..and the polarization helps with glare.. It's not radically different.. Enough to correct the blind spot for me at least... As usual, YMMV. |

- I like to have my arms not too stretched out when steering, but if I adjust the seat closer, it doesn't feel comfortable on pedal as I have quite long legs. - since I'm relatively tall, my head is higher and closer to upper end of windscreen so sometimes it's hard to see traffic light on top of your car unless you lower your head a bit. - getting in and out of the car while trying not to kick the panel to prevent making the car dirty is a bitch. Having said that, I love this car. |
