Corrected the blind spot...
 

Finally took care of the blind spot on the drivers side..
I tried adjusting the mirrors in various recommended ways but to no avail..
I purchased the Rexpeed wide mirrors. They are both convex and polarized with
a bluish tint. Looks great against the raven color and is very effective! Completely eliminated the blind spot. Not too radical to where everything is small and distant.. Enough to give you a slightly wider view where you need it.
These have the OEM mounts so you just pop off the OEM and pop these in.. Can go back to stock just as easily.. Sweet !:happyanim:

:thanks: I've been considering getting these mirrors and your picture has sold me on them. The blue color should also look good on my ultramarine.

Haven't had a problem with blind spots in ANY car since I started doing this.

There is a definite blind spot with the stock mirrors on the FR-S/BRZ even adjusted per the above. I notice it very strongly compared to my previous vehicle, which was a Ram 2500 with trailer mirrors.

I hope, if you don't think there is, that you pay very close attention when you change lanes. And that I'm nowhere nearby.

I really wish they were available without the blue tint. I think it looks really lame.

Pretty nice. I prefer the Broadway 350cm wide rear view mirror available in regular or convex.

This is good and way better then most folks! How often do you pull up behind a car and you can see drivers face in their sideview mirror and think to yourself.. "If I can see you from here in that mirror, you're doing it wrong."

I don't think the illustration goes far enough however, under the assumption that your rearview mirrors works.

I don't like Figure 2 or Figure 5. The side view mirrors are not for seeing behind you. If you can see behind your car with your sideview mirror then you aren't seeing enough of the lane next to you. In my car, I cannot see the sides of my car with my sideview mirrors, as it's "just out of shot". Why so wide? Because doing the "over the shoulder look" when merging on a freeway is a great way to rear-end the car in front of you when they peg their brakes for no reason (which happens almost every day around here because people think merging is done with the brake pedal).

I set my mirrors when at a stop light with other cars around me. Easy way to make sure all angles are properly covered.

side view mirrors arent supposed to show the side of your car. its supposed to show the lane next to you. thats the common problem with majority of drivers.

Perhaps my height or seating position comes into play, but with my mirrors adjusted correctly, I don't have any problem seeing a vehicle as it transitions from my rear-view mirror to my side-view mirror to my peripheral vision. I still look over my shoulder if I'm yielding to an off-ramp, because if traffic is a few lanes over it won't be in the mirrors. But I can see anything in the lanes next to me, which is what matters when merging and changing lanes.

Spend money on fancy mirrors if you want, I'm good. :iono:

Figures 2 and 5 are there to show the "traditional" way that mirrors are adjusted, which is not ideal. Figures 1 & 4 are the correct way to set your mirrors.

Rear view is for behind you, side view is for next to you. It's a simple concept.

I believe they also come in a yellow tint.
