Is the smaller diameter line here that runs to the blow-off valve the one I should be putting a T in and running to the gauge?

That will work as long as the T is before the check valve in the brake booster hose.

Are we supposed to put a check valve on the brake booster hose? Vortech's instructions say to install the check valve on the hose going from the PCV valve to the manifold. I currently have my bypass valve and boost gauge hooked up to the brake booster line.

And to keep this on subject, I am following this because I'll be ordering a guage shortly.

According to the RallySport Direct install FAQ, they also installed the T-fitting for their boost guage after the factory check-valve on the line running to the brake booster. I didn't see one...

Does anyone has a picture of the factory check valve? I didn't notice one in my brake booster line.

Looks like I cut my hose awfully close to that. I'm glad it has a valve though. I've only been boosted for a week but I was wondering what people were doing about getting positive pressure into the booster.

I'm going to have to go back and verify. I cut mine close to the engine side to keep the fitting hidden. I'm hoping I'm below the check valve.

Guys there's no need to cut that brake booster line. You can pull off the end that goes to the engine side, tee into that, and connect the tee to the engine side with a short length of 5/32" hose.

I'm a pretty visual person and hopefully this helps, but are well looking at needing to put in the T in at 'A' or 'B' here?
Base on Vortech's directions, I'm willing to bet most people cut the line, like I did, at B to run the hose that goes to the BOV. If I understand correctly, this will not work for the purposes of vacuum/boost readings? Now, I have an extra oem hose for the break booster line. If I cut it at A and run the line to the BOV, can I then put a T in that line, between the BOV and break booster hose, and then run that to the gauge? Or do I have the positions backwards...? |

So would we need to add in another T in-line with the one that goes to the vortech BOV? Or would the setup above work?
Or something like below: |
