I guess I'm a diehard PC gamer then, judging from the facts. I can't swallow buying TitanFall again just for the PC though so maybe the XB1 does have a purpose lol

Titanfall was a horrible flop IMO anyway. I feel like people focus so much on the multiplayer aspect it's actually hurting games. Titanfall didn't even have a legitimate campaign or story to it. Sometimes, it's nice to be able to play on your own and let a story be told! There's so much focus on graphics and online gameplay now developers are getting lazy. The human eye can only see so much all this focus on "HD rendering" is stupid. I find 1.6 Counter-Strike more fun than Titanfall lol.

Flop? Really lol its gotten so many awards, super high metacritic, gamespot, etc reviews. I love playing it I just like playing PC that much more



I would have loved a stand-alone campaign though, not gonna lie.

Yeah, I wouldn't really say it was a flop. I've actually never played it (because I hate Xbox and my PC is currently hijacked as a Blu-Ray player for my roommates) but even if I did decide to I would never spend $60 on it. For $60, I need a damn good single player campaign.

Maybe those saying Titanfall was a flop probably missed all the awards it won and never saw the sales numbers, where it topped the charts for weeks and sold over half a million in the first week alone, and currently sold over 1.6 million copies in less than 2 months.

I wouldn't consider that a "flop."

Unfortunately at least with the way current AAA games are made even numbers like those can still equate to failure. Square Enix for example where Hitman: Absolution, Tomb Raider and Sleeping Dogs got sales of 3.6 million, 3.4 million and 1.75 million respectively. Even with sales numbers to that degree...all 3 titles didn't meet their sales targets and were considered under performing. The cost of making AAA titles has ballooned and sales expectations are absurdly high hence why its difficult to say if Titanfall is a proper success. Only Respawn and EA know of Titanfall's targets, but yeah even if Titanfall sells 3 million...depending on what targets EA/Respawn have set, it either exceeded expectations, met expectations or failed to meet expectations.

Numbers aside, the game is a ton of fun, I enjoy it. If I had friends to play with online I'd probably like it more. All my friends play PC (LoL, Day Z, Rust, Diablo 3, SC2, Dead Island Epidemic, etc)

If you go solely by sales numbers, then some of the best games ever made would be considered a failure. It's easy to pad your "sales numbers" especially when you release your game on multiple platforms. Do you put garbage like Call of Duty: Black Ops ahead of a game like Ocarina of Time? Also, I'd like somebody to pull some numbers and do research on how many copies of Titanfall have been sold off second hand or traded back into Gamestop. I bet you that number is substantially high as well. Numbers, critics, and awards don't mean anything to me. Those journalists and critics are being paid to review the game. Us gamers are paying earned money to play the games so it's our opinion that matter. Somehow "true gamers" have forgotten that.

I'd play on PC, but I'm so used to shooters using twin sticks these days (haven't played PC shooters since UT2k4), and most of the styles of PC games do not appeal to me whatsoever (MMO, RTS, MOBA, etc). That, and my PC is middle grade from 8 years ago and I have no desire to spend hundreds to bring it up to speed to play games I don't like or can play on my consoles. :P

Back to Titanfall, it's some of the most fun and action-packed gaming I've had in a long time. Everything done in that game is satisfying and exciting. Everything is so fluid and easy to do and everything looks amazing doing it. As someone who has religiously played Call of Duty for almost a decade, since CoD2 launched with 360, I can say I haven't touched Ghosts since 3/11/14.

Having said that... let's see what Spacy brings to the next title....! As a big House of Cards fan, I may have to get this just for the campaign! .....And then right back to TF for multiplayer. :P

Obviously if you don't like PVP multiplayer shooters, you're not going to enjoy Titanfall. If you DO enjoy PVP multiplayer shooters, this is about as good as I've ever seen in terms of fun, frenzy, satisfaction, and spectacle.
