Andy ( @OurFirst86 ) and his brother stopped by today and Tyler installed some Tein S.Tech springs into his dirty white beast.

I'm a definite maybe for this -- I've got some H&R Sport Springs in the box, which I bought as a stop-gap before getting coilovers. Now I'm having second thoughts and thinking of just buying coilovers now rather than going through the pain of doing this twice.

Honestly the coilover market is just ridiculous. I thought I'd picked a set (the KW Variant 3), but then I find out that I also need camber plates, and maybe new endlinks? I'm half scared that I'd show up at the lowering day only to not have half the stuff I need.

Any suggestions for someone looking to improve handling at the track, without totally sacrificing DD-ability, and avoid going too much over $2K all inclusive?

You can still align to run straight without the LCA's but you will need them if you do not want any camber lowered.

I've just put on a set of MCA Reds, haven't tried them on the track yet, but they are designed to be streetable track focused coilover system. MCA has two systems, one falls around 1600 (Blue) and one falls around 2700 (Red). Both come with everything you need.

I did a lot of talking to Josh at MCA when I was deciding on coilovers and found him to be really helpful. Plus it's cool being able to bounce suspension ideas off of the guy who has set up three of the current fastest time attack cars in the world.

Only real downside is that you'll have to import them from Australia.
Also they don't lower the car as much as other systems, if that's something you care about.

Not sure yet... it will depend on how many cars we end up doing. The EARLIEST I would want to get started is 10am if we have all 10 slots full... maybe 11am or noon if we don't.

Is there pearl in the paint? Who painted it?

I took it to Europa Autobody on SE Division. There is pearl in the paint, and it matched the 37J code on the key chart, which means the paint on my car is likely not correctly 37J or the paint catalog at the shop was off.

The paint key sample was clearly different from my car, but the guy said "sometimes paint appears differently on different materials", so I took his word for it and went ahead with 37J; which is now too white for my car, as my car is more cream colored. To be frank, 36J seemed to be a closer match to my car's color; but damn, hindsight sucks. I already spent my money and signed off on the work.

I'll just respray in the future if the paint tone doesn't change with some aging.
