Why would you want to spend the money on an intake when the drop ins do 90% of the minimal gains of the best intakes tested - see link below:

Drop in filter:
A'PEXi + 5.5 WHP
Blitz + 6.1 WHP
K&N + 5.7 WHP

Intakes:

AEM +5.8 WHP
INJEN +5.6 WHP
AFE TakEDA + 6.3 WHP
K&N + 4.3 WHP
BLITZ + 6.7 WHP
TRD + 2.5 WHP
AVO + 5.5 WHP
HKS + 1.5 WHP
Weapon-R - 0.6 WHP

Those numbers are also absolute best case scenario and is usually from poorly scaled MAFs.

Of course. But it's best case for both intakes and drop ins, correct? Point is, it appears the stock intake is pretty efficient. The stock filter is not.

Of course. My argument is FOR stock intakes. I have never been involved in an automotive platform where I was convinced an intake would be beneficial.

People spends hundreds if not thousands of dollars loosing weight from a car so better to optimize not adding it back when possible. Plus the car is already 54/46 and most weight drops happen in the rear making the cars around 57/43 or worse. Relocating all the packs among other things will help get to 52/48 or better depending on what else you do. That could be a 5% swing in weight distribution when combined with other mods.

To me this currently is setup as a convenience package for ease of install and getting to market quicker. I don't think it's an ideal solution all things considered.

That said, it's nice this is available and people who need it now and can't feel 14lbs off their car can rejoice. I think it would be nice if a more performance oriented package were developed that respects the cars potential.
Trunk dump reality:

A proper dual dump trunk location set-up would require a significant heavy duty fitment...it all sounds pie-ish until you get into the details.
First, to achieve the same V-drop 2/0 or 4/0 AWG is needed, the lugs for this size of cable is massive, so an insulated junction box in the trunk would be required so you could reduce to a 4AWG and reasonable terminal lugs to bolt to the batteries. Secondly, these large cables would need to pass through sheetmetal, hole drilling/corrosion paint/grommet or insulating boss, then a conduit system secured to the underside of the car to prevent sag or fretting or exposure to 'road-stuff'. Once you have snaked these welding cables to the engine bay another insulated junction box with a 250 AMP fuse and a reduction of gauge to utilize the Anderson connector is needed. Back to the trunk, drilling and mounting a tray and hold down system to properly secure 48lbs of batteries is needed. Once you get all these items piled on a scale.....100 lbs. I don't see the benefits

Also: Farad = 1 amp-second @ 1 volt. 3-4kW for 30 seconds = many F

Thanks, Rob.

I sent @shiv@vishnu an email with my stock tune. He got back to me with the ESC tune in less than 2 hours.

Dunno -- Shiv is getting married on the 5th so it might be a bit. I'm gonna try to see if I can get an E85 tune from him mid-May when the ESC is delivered even if it isn't a final map. If it's not ready, I don't even know if I'll install ESC right away -- I can't imagine going back to 91

But I'll probably give in just to start getting the batteries conditioned and awake and such.

Break the batteries in and give the ESC a try in 91. And then let us know how ESC on 91 compares to NA on e85.

I believe someone is using the ESC on e85. Was it you, @DAEMANO?

Sojhinn had an e85 tune but switched to 91...I think he's getting an update to go back to e85. I spoke to Shiv last week and he said to estimate 2 weeks after his wedding (approximately) for an e85 ESC tune.

On another note...my 1.5x battery conversion kit shipped today...woot woot! I'll have it in time to test out at Streets of Willow...now I just need to meet up with Sojhinn so we can install our cooling mods

I sure hope it is significantly different from E85 NA
