Thanks, I have posted there.

Unfortunately I was looking for some more technical details about the motor and blower used on the Phantom system. But I digress.

I'll kindly show myself out of this thread.

There is quite a bit of information on Robs website phantom supercharger. Com

Don't feel like you have to leave, it just seems that this thread derails really quickly from time to time lol.

I have read through much of this thread but usually on phone which shows 162 pages. I think the faq idea will go a long way to keep conversation focused. That being said I have a question. It's anyone running this setup with a subwoofer? I'm concerned about the smaller battery not being able to handle non-stock power draws. Thanks

The system only consumes 25A so its basically like running a standard rear defrost in most cars.

@fenton is it possible or even safe to wire 4 dump pack in series and utilize a 48v to 24v step down regulator to distribute the necessary 24v to the esc? one would think that it would improve the duration of max rpm"boost" with the esc.
if it is safe to do that, i wouldn't mind an extra 40lbs in the trunk for (full power) output all throughout the power-band.

You still get power through the entire power band even with the standard and 1.5 dump pack options.

You get to a point of diminishing returns. The reason the boost does drop off is because the ESC spins at a fixed RPM which results in a fixed amount of airflow. When the engine isn't efficient that means the airflow turns into boost, as the engine becomes more efficient it requires more air and that means less boost.

The larger the battery the longer it takes to heat up and dump current more efficiently. The current size has a great price to performance to heating up ratio.

I was just wondering because when you go WOT the volt meter display goes from 28v down to around 19-20v right?, so i was assuming that with the decrease in voltage to the esc the turbine would be spinning slower at 19v when compared to the initial 28v when you go wot.
but if that's not the case then i guess my question is kinda stupid.. i was really hoping to wire it in series and just use a regulator to output a constant 24v at wot all the way to redline..

I'm thinking my 300rms /600 peak amplifier should use between 25 and 50 amps depending on conditions. Seems like a lot to run on small battery among with radio and all other equipment, no?

It hasn't exactly been a week yet, but...

WHOAAAAAA. DAT TORQUE.

Love the acceleration with the ESC activated. Accelerates even though the 3-4k rpm range. Between the 18-mile drive on the highway to work, 20-mile drive on the back roads back home, and 5-mile drive to the gym, this thing makes me smile every step of the way!

so I'm guessing you aren't underwhelm about the powwa of the ESC anymore?

how would you rate the ESC on a scale from 1 to 10, now vs when you initially installed it?

It really depends on what state the batteries were in when you get them. For me, Rob has always used the batteries first in his car so they were ready to go and got full boost right away.

The batteries really do take time to condition especially if they have been the factor or a warehouse for a while.

The best thing to clear this ailment is a heavy right foot
