FWIW, I could even believe mid 5 second 0-60 for Sohjinn's car with his supporting mods and custom tune.

Hey DAEMANO good hearing from you. Lemme know when you decide to go to one of the Tuesday meets and I'll head over as well to check it out . I'm sure it's obvious but I'm pretty curious how it runs haha.

I lost my train of thought and forgot one of the things I was thinking, but based on how often these questions have been asked, you many want to mention that the system works on Autos, and I believe Rob has completed the RHD version?

I need to sale two of my bmx bikes, my 240 and a lot of 240 parts. As soon as I have the room I will allow myself to go step 1, which is OFT, OFH, and K&N. Step 2, Battery relocation (because future-proofing), Lastly step 3. Phantom ESC with dump 2.0. If I am lucky, my 240 + parts will pay for all the mods

Did you have longer wires (specifically the one with the large red connector that connects the dump packs to the controller)? I tried to route mine to the side like yours and it wasn't long enough, so I had to route it on the other side of the fuse box, like in the install guide.

I'd rather have all of my wires off to the side.

Fenton, below are some significant edits:

The Phantom TQ250-24v is electric supercharger that adds a peak of 4.5 pounds of boost. This added boost results in peak gains of 50% more HP and TQ at 4000rpm and 20% more hp at redline. The system consists a cold side turbo that is driven by a high power brushless DC motor, a Controller, cockpit display, throttle switch and a discrete 24v battery pack. The Controller is a dedicated unit developed by Phantom that provides DC current to the motor and manages the charging of the 24v battery pack. During supercharger operation the system is isolated from the OEM electrical system via a discrete 24 volt battery pack. While in standby mode the battery pack is charged by the OEM electrical system. The supercharger does not draw from the alternator when activated, reducing any parasitic loss. The batteries for the system all must be purchased separately (links provided). Phantom includes all necessary components to install the system. Typical recharge ratio is 8:1 @ 25A (more on that later).

The Controller: WOT activation
The Controller sends power from the 24v battery pack (also called the “dump pack”) to the DC motor when requested by the throttle switch. The controller recharges the dump pack from the OEM electrical system and recharges at a rate of 25A which provides a 8:1 recharge ratio. The throttle switch is configured to activate during wide open throttle (WOT). The throttle switch is placed in the cabin underneath the accelerator pedal and attached with a bracket that is included in the kit. The bracket can be adjusted to change the position when the supercharger is activated. Most users pick a position between 80 and 100 percent throttle.

The controller: drag reduction
The controller has a vacuum sensor that measures vacuum between the supercharger and the throttle body. This input detects when there is negative pressure between the supercharger and the throttle body and compensates for any flow loss by providing bursts of boost to equalize the pressure difference.

Auxiliary controller
The auxiliary recharger is still in development. It is a simple add on which increases the recharge rate of the batteries to 50A and also reducing the charge ratio to 4:1. In addition to doubling the recharge rate it also splits the load between the two controllers when the system is dumping power to the DC motor.

The batteries

Starter battery - This battery is used in the standard configuration as well as the 1.5 conversion configuration. It can be purchased from the link below and has been verified to -10-20C starting capability with regular use.

http://www.atbatt.com/power-sonic-ps...id-battery.asp

24 Volt Battery Pack (dump batteries) - These are the batteries that provide the base kit with power. Two 12 volt, 18aH batteries are wired in series to provide 24v to the DC motor via the motor controller. These standard batteries will provide approximately a minute and a half on boost without a chance to recharge. You only have to purchase one set of these batteries (they come with 2).

http://www.atbatt.com/power-sonic-2-...b-terminal.asp

1.5 Dump Conversion - This is an upgrade to the basic 24 volt battery pack. The 1.5 Dump Kit increases the total amount of boost the supercharger can provide. This additional boost has its greatest impact between 4000 and 7400 rpm by providing additional current (9aH for a total of 27aH). You must purchase two of these batteries if you elect to purchase the 1.5 dump pack conversion.

I'd rather have all of my wires off to the side.

The original beta units had longer cables for the dump pack. This is no longer the case with the production units. Since i switched to the 1.5 pack I am currently running my wires like you.

Edit: I hate autocorrect.

TM, The bolt to retain the controller goes the other way, not a big deal, but it is easier. It is oriented as delivered (see pic), the grommet fits in the punched hole on the front beam location. The bolt then goes through from underneath and is held by the grommet, so it looks like a stud, the controller is then installed/washer/nut...as you tighten the nut the grommet will prevent the bolt from turning (hand tight). I may add this detail to the install.

Fresh batteries have a 'storage' charge...they need several cycles to complete the manufacturing process.

Thanks!

Is the tune (guessing via OFT) minimally invasive? Any traceability?

Oh haha, that makes much more sense. I just assumed it was upside down. I'll fix it when I clean up my engine bay.
