Shiv's car makes 173 stock and 217 with the dual dump.

Yours is right in line with the standard dump pack. Once you add the 1.5 and it is fully conditioned you should be about 215 which would be 30hp top end.

Most people don't make 185 on the stock time.

The 40hp he is taking about is stock to boosted.

This is the best way to describe it.

You get a lot of torque down low and it revs freely all the way to redline. The torque does decline after 6000 rpm...most boosted cars do as well....the important thing is the horsepower keeps climbing and makes a nice fat peak at the top.

You don't ever want HP to fall like it would in a VW gti or something like that.....that feels bad for a sports car.

You also don't want something that makes peak torque at redline where you have to rev the crap out of it all the time to not get walked over by a Toyota sienna.

Once you get to drive one I think you will be pleasantly suprised

From my understanding Shiv's 217 run includes an uncatted header and a few other goodies, so its not quite fair to compare that to a completely stock car and say its all from the ESC.

Looks like run 14 is the same stock baseline Shiv uses.

As for run 23 and 25, you're pretty much hitting the exact same numbers i was getting with a front pipe, drop-in filter and standard ESC kit. What mods did you have?

Runs 44 and 45 make me jealous of E85

Okay, so in summary, lets not compare ESC + supporting mods to completely stock runs and use those dynos to set expectations in terms of what people should expect when purchasing just the ESC.

I'm trying my best to get the same performance I have enjoyed with my VW and I am pretty much there.

I think he means boost is tapering. It did on my WRX peak 16psi and about ~11 psi at redline so yes power "dropped" off. I imagine the GTI does the same as do most small turbo OEM cars.

Actually a better comparison is a jetta 1.8t. The vw is actually not to bad.
