It allows you to turn off the throttle switch. Basically lets you run in a non-boosted mode (although it'll still pulse the compressor if it detects negative pressure, aka it becomes a restriction at high RPMs)

This just occured to me. For the 1.5 dump pack the "third" battery is two small batteries strapped together. So the final configuration is 1xstarter, 2xlarge dump, 2xsmall dump. Fenton said there was some technical reason why the two smaller ones is better than a third large one.

If thats the case, why not use the small ones for the entire dump pack? ie 1xstart and 6x small dump

The larger dumps are still the same configuration as the little tiny ones.

There isn't benefit to go to the smaller ones for all because they have to have the adapter and what not.

Rob has tried much larger amp hour batteries and they take longer to heat up so they don't discharge as nice.

That's the beauty of this package, it doesn't require ANY engine modifications to the car. The modification is to the battery system and a flash to the ECU. Everything else is just a bolt on (or actually a bolt near).

I've been following this thread from beta stages, but I have question...this might already be covered, but to my understanding, the ESC activates when at 70% throttle load, correct?

Given the scenario, if I'm at mid-corner on a long sweeper @ 5000rpm and I'm slowly squeezing the throttle to WOT, does the ESC activate like a fully-on/off switch? Would it yield peaky, turbo-like (eg.single turbo supra power curve)??

I know ESC is designed primarily for street application, but I'm just concerned it might change the linear, predictable on-limit nature of the twins.

I take my on-ramps full beast mode lol.

Oooh, more excuses to do *legal* drag races! =) I'm in!

It is on off but nothing like a single turbo supra Haha.

Worst case scenario you would go from 100 percent na power to like 130 percent power with boost depending on rpm. It has never been enough to upset the car in 3rd or higher gear. In first or 2nd you can get the back to step out mid corner if you time the boost right....its a lot of fun

Supra would be like 100 percent power off boost and 250 percent on boost lol.

I have noticed I can modify my foot pedal position without activating the ESC. In the car I can get to full throttle electronically without activating the ESC. So you can drive the car like you would normally without activating the ESC and then hammer it in the straights.
