That's a total of 5 batteries. Is that correct?

whats the car drive like towards the higher end of the rev range i.e. 4.5 - 7k? I understand the boost ends around then or slows down.

what it like to merge the end of boost to a high unboosted rev? I would imagine the car loses some of its character but in a good way?

It still pulls hard. With shiv's tune and some supporting mods the top end doesnt fall off at all anymore. You hit peak power at about 6000 rpm and hold to 7500....this is a very desirable power curve.

The centrifugal SC's(Vortech, Kraftwerks, jackson) make nice peak hp numbers but almost all of them drop 50 to 75 hp when you shift at 7500 rpm and drop to 5000....you really have to wring those out to get the most of them.

This is how it compares to the stock power curve

That's the reason I like the 1.5 pack. Feels more punchy up top.

To the guys running the 1.5 pack. Is it a noticeable difference like "oh wow" or "I think I feel it"?

As promised, here's my detailed dyno report. All on 93 octane, 4th gear pulls + catted front pipe and catback exhaust.

First things first, ESC vs. stock + stock map (both with front pipe/CBE/intake filter)

LOVE the 50% torque gain in the dip

Hate the drop off towards 7K rpm, really rewards you for keeping it between 3-5K

The Phantom ESC was hitting about 4.5psi peak boost, then dropping to 0.5-1psi higher in the rpm range.

Next up i tested SPM (Super Pursuit Mode turns off throttle switch) vs. stock to see if I'd actually gain/lose anything with drag reduction only. I did.

ESC Super Pursuit Mode (red) vs. stock + stock map (both with front pipe/CBE/intake filter)
Was surprised to see peak numbers were pretty much the exact same with SPM actually producing less low end torque until 4K.

Next i wanted to see how the ESC would perform with an aftermarket intake filter

ESC vs. ESC w/K&N Filter (both with front pipe/CBE)
Nice gains! almost 10hp and 10tq higher in the rpm range.

Although my AFRs started to get a bit scary with the filter. Although this was with the dynojet exhaust sniffer, not OFT data logging.

Summary, I'm very happy with the torque between 3-5K its what the car really needed. Would love to keep it going past 6K but here's hoping the 1.5 dump pack helps. Horsepower isn't all that impressive but who cares when you have all that torque on tap that low in the range. AFRs are still a bit scary but I'm thinking with more fuel i should be making more power.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'm planning to hit the dyno again once i get my 1.5 dump pack and will likely ask Shiv for an e-tune to clean-up my AFRs.

A couple pages back, Rob stated, "The stock starter was 29.x lbs by itself."

Maybe I misunderstood this, too.

In the pics fenton posted, there appear to be 4 batteries on the tray. Is there a different tray to fit the 5th battery?
