I understand that, but I saw some people drive MB SL and others. They cost over 100K here.

OK we have:

Singapore $130,000 USD
Thailand $85,000 USD
Norway $78,000 USD
USA $24,000 USD (added for Tip)

Any other takers?
Actually waiting to see if Toyota have a MSRP higher than Singapore.

You forgot USA. 25k isn't it?

If we had a price already I would be able to tell you but Toyota Australia is dangling the carrot in front of us.

The thought of paying those prices makes me cringe. I find this entertaining and eliminates the minor thought I use to have about 25k being too much.

Hey xrbyx, the topic was basically a bitch at Toyota as they could price it cheaper here in Thailand but they have also used the import tax as a tool to make it look like it should be high. We are envious as hell of you guys who are getting what you pay for.. Cheers JJJJ

I've become slightly more grateful lol. That really does suck though. I'm curious to know if you are still considering one?

The 86 or BRZ is not yet released here in Philippines but speaking with a Toyota rep said pricing would be in the range of 1,800,000 php to 2,500,000 php ($41,860-$58,130). The 2012 STI MT here costs $58,093.

Its funny when people always bitch and complain about living in America(especially foreigners who came from shitty ass countries) yet we have the world giving to us vs every single country on this planet. I feel bad for you over there man.

Standard G: 2,490,000 baht = USD $80,000

I mean, come on Toyota, we here know there is a stiff import duty on cars, but this is on cars over 218 hp, so your not fooling anyone. The is blatant robbery of your faithful.. WFT
Why don't you go bitch to your government? They're the reason for the cost of that car. Not Toyota.

You people just don't get it

Not so much given to us as we fight for it every day by not letting the government increase their grip over the citizens. Trust me there are PLENTY of people in power in our government that would love to do anything in their power to discourage automotive use.

As an example our Secretary of Energy WANTS US gasoline to be $8-9/gal to force people to drive less and/or smaller cars. So far gasoline prices have almost doubled under the current administration...and I'm hoping this helps build more public dissent so we can boot them out of office.

Doubled? In California it's gone down since Bush :P
It's a miracle taxes haven't gone up IMO, I guess that's the American attitude. Let politicians throw all the money away, and incur more debt instead of either paying it off or stopping the spending.

In Norway a US gallon would be near 10USD.
I would pay 20USD a gallon if we had American Car prices! No doubt!

I really feel sorry for people in Singapore and Thailand wanting a car like the GT86.

Adding Finland to the list:
Singapore $130,000 USD
Thailand $85,000 USD
Norway $78,000 USD
Finland $61,000 USD
USA $24,000 USD
