Sounds like it's not parallel with the vehicle.

Well, if this is your system (below):

You might try loosening up the flange that connects the mid-pipe to the front pipe, then move the tips so they are where you want them and re-tighten the flange.

Or, try to arrange the hangars so the hold the mufflers where you want them.

Or, do it the redneck way and take some wire and pull that sucker where you want it, then twist the wire to hold it in place.

Or the humfrz old farm boy way, heat the offending side up with a blow torch and beat it unto submission wirth a BFH.

i lived in kentucky for 4 years so the redneck way sounds pretty darn good, but i think ima loosen the flanges and move it and do that, and this time wait till it cools down lol

I love the sound and build quality of the SRT catback on mine but its fitment does leave a little to be desired. I did everything I could short of physically changing the exhaust and the right is a little more out and angled than the left. I'll be reworking the entire back section of mine to a dual center exit for different reason though - need more clearance for a planned custom diffusor setup. The right side rear bumper cutout around the tailpipe also had a hole melted through it...not sure if it was because of the SRT fitment or something else. But yeah, everything but the fitment of the exhaust to the car (and dealing with the company itself) is EXCELLENT...superb TIG welding, design, and exotic sound.

The design and/or construction may not be so excellent, if more than one person is having a problem with asymmetry. Has anyone measured the system to be sure that all duplicate parts have the same dimensions from side to side and that all flanges are angled properly?

If one tip actually does protrude further than the other with the system properly installed on a virgin vehicle, all the tweaking in the world (short of cutting and rewelding) won't get it back into its hole. Ditto if the system is slightly twisted or otherwise not perfectly aligned with the rest of the car when bolted in. If the jigs on which the exhaust is made are somehow slightly off, every system made on them will also be slightly off.

If the angle(s) of flat flange(s) at one of the junctions are very slightly off, you could make a wedge-shaped gasket from thick gasket stock to shift it a few degrees. To do this soundly, you also need adjustable angled washers (available from industrial hardware suppliers). But if something's not right, you really should make it right. Most jury-rigged "solutions" will come back to bite you on the butt.

I've learned this lesson many times at great cost and not a little physical pain: if it's not right, don't assume and don't bang - measure.

Fitment is a separate parameter from design and build quality... you can have excellent design and build quality yet not have excellent fitment. The SRT catback has second to none build quality, meaning beautiful and proper Tig welds with well integrated 304L stainless compoenents and construction. It's design, which refers to the actual functionality of said exhaust, is excellent: proper flow/pulses, nice merger, engine response is great, and tone is very pleasing...it's all there in the design. Fitment, is just that - how it physically fits on vehicle, and is the only physical aspect where it comes up short. It is a little frustrating that its not perfect, but it's not horrible off that at a glance you really notice it. Doesn't matter to me as I'll be redoing the whole rear section of mine for aerodynamic reasons (my brother's a certified welder and I have a nice Tig machine...) - need to tuck the exhaust up high and in the center near the stock heat shield for a functional custom rear diffusor. I've done stage one of the process, which really shows off the SRT exhaust well...

I hope nobody is still buying the SRT exhaust after the shit they pulled and the way they treated the forum/community. Stay away from this company.
