It's not an Impreza in name only - I was just saying wut cuz you're considering one.

Not sure if flat-bill WRX douche, poseur BMW douche, what kind of douche...but I like your douche!

Gonna go look at them in person this weekend. A bunch of dealers have them around me.

All I can say, I hate SPT short shifter and understeering. Beside those two, it's a very awesome car.

During the 2011 C&D Lightning Lap, the Mustang GT and STI competed in the same class (LL2), and the STI was about 5 seconds off the time of the GT.

3:08.6 FORD MUSTANG GT 5.0
3:13.8 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI SEDAN

If the chasis/handling upgrades are as good as they claim, on a 3 minute course, it shouldn't be hard to drop 5 seconds. However, that would be with the 5.0 Mustang GT without the track-pack upgrade, which would probably drop another second or so off that Mustang's lap. Then with the 1-2 year old Boss 302's being had now in the 32k to 34k range, that's around to 3:03 mark.

Yep - I was just referring to the standard GT with that comment. A Boss 302 is definitely a better track car, and I suspect the '15 Mustang GT will be as well.

Everything I've been hearing says the 2015 Mustang GT is faster around a track than the 2012-2013 Boss 302.

OT below here:

@DeeezNuuuts83, what speed do you cruise at while on the highway? While I can beat the EPA rating for my Cayman S (25 mpg) it's not by much, and while the engine is larger than an Evo's it's weight, drivetrain efficiency and frontal area are much better. Driving to Charlotte Friday at an average speed of 60 mph I got 27 mpg. Driving back to Raleigh yesterday, while averaging 72 mph I achieved 25 mpg. Friday's trip was with AC off, Sunday's with AC on.

The 2015 WRX STI dominates the BRZ in every category. There is no vs about it. If you want the faster car and can afford it, buy it.

Got a chance to see one in person today; photos do not do this car justice. Looks great in person.

The odd thing is that I hate how the new STI (and WRX) look, but it does look pretty good in that pic. Maybe they should stop using that WRB/gold wheels combo.

I dunno how anyone could think a vehicle like that with such a blunt nose could look good. The lack of curvy flared fenders really sucks too.

BRZ wins the hell out of this comparison in the looks department, by a country mile.

That combo (WRB/BBS gold rims) is only available on the launch edition that is limited to 1000 units.

My understanding is the blunt nose is related to challenges around passing the new frontal offset crash tests. Subaru tends to put safety before design. Hell, Subaru tends to put a lot of things before design
