Hey everyone,

I want to put the Kosei K4Rs on my White BRZ. I have Toyo T1 Sports in 225/45R17 and want to keep those tires. I can't decide if I should get 17X7 or 17x8. Tirerack shows the tires fit both sizes. I like the 7s are about a 1.5 lbs lighter, but I'm worried they will look too "sunk in" with a 50mm offset...Any thoughts?

Also, what do you think about the K1 TS?

Thanks

I ran Kosei K1 TS on my yaris for a few years, nothing bad to say about them. Light weight, finish is very durable they worked great for me and cheap.

@Kai81

Go 17x8 and use stock 215/45/17 they will fit fine. Then you can upgrade to 225/45/17 once they run out of tread. The good thing about 8" wide rim is you can upgrade to a wider tire if you want later.

The 17x7 +50 will be a tiny more sunken in than stock (17x7 +48), but shouldn't be a noticeable difference.

I have both and haven't had issues with either.

Selling the K4R's soon though, simply because I don't have tires on those anymore.

i got k4r and i think their great. look great and sit pretty nice and flush. just a bit of poke with 245 tires. only thing about them is you cant get them in a 9 inch wide.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9334

i've used them for autocross and daily with no issues.

Ended up finding a set of 17x7.5 SSR Type-Cs on the cheap. Would have got the K4R otherwise.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1398523034.799057.jpg

I have used them both on another Toyota, size 16x7.

The Kosei is slightly lighter.

My wife drove the Enkei over a pot-hole once and slightly bent one Enkei.

No mishap on the Kosie so far (although my wife didn't repeat the experiment with the Kosei).

The Kosei is more fussy with wheel mounting, needed to fit hub rings to make is hub-centric.

The Enkei's are slightly lighter and look better IMO but only if you choose 17x9 concave face (which is only .1 pounds heavier than K4R's 17x8).

Does Kosei offer the K4R in 17x9? Haven't been able to find mention of it.

Edit:: Nevermind, saw mention above that they don't come in 9".
