FWIW, I'm not being serious and I hope you aren't taking it that way. Just having some fun, albeit at your expense. This thread has had a healthy dose of ZOMG GIRL on the INTERNETS from the beginning (see Boxer486's post above ) and as a girl on the internet I have a low tolerance for that. It was always going to crash and burn, especially when you had some pretty harsh things to say about a minor defect in a car we all (well almost all) really love. This just isn't the car for you, so you made the right decision in moving on and I'm sure you'll be happy with your new car.

You need to read my posts instead of skimming them and making assumptions, then posting worthless obnoxiousness. Gives the forum a bad name to outsiders.

You might have a valid point if it were only me commenting , and it's you making the assumptions and claiming issues that are not as "real" as you say.
It wasn't me who coined the term "regal-noia" or accused you of starting widespread panic for nothing. You have a fan club.. Sort of..
There must be some reason behind this, don't you think?

After further research on here and on YouTube, this was not the car for me at the moment. I am happy that you guys like your cars. I am just not comfortable with it.

Hopefully someone looking to buy this car can read this thread and read some of the great advice that you guys have taken the time to post and not be turned off by some of your more obnoxious members.
Jen...you weren't comfortable about the FR-S, so you didn't buy it. Makes sense to me.

I certainly wouldn't have bought a Camaro, but it makes you happy, that's all that matters.

Buying cars, especially "toys" is never a completely rational decision. We choose mostly on emotions.

That was because I got a little impatient waiting almost two years for 2012 builds to get factory/dealer flash updates for the issuing the missing TIR tables proven to 'cause tip-in knock. Most of my posts I try to show the good and bad. For example Tada puts his pants on like everyone else, he did great things and made mistakes. No one person spreads widespread panic that's paranoia in itself.

Heads up this is a test to see if you read the whole post or start getting red and rabid.

The crickets are just the nature of the beast. Enjoy your slant 6 camaro.
There is no way the OP was real. From the obvious troll first post "This car is nuts!!! 200 hp?!? No way." like "she" has never driven one of the numerous light Japanese sports cars of the 90s/early 2000s to the comment about pushrods to the overreacting about engine sounds to buying a Camaro, the complete opposite of an FR-S in every way... Quite obvious trollage going on, IMO. It was just some guy having a laugh.

Oh boy. I am real. I will meet one of the people from Lancaster if you don't believe me. Ugh. Now I'm a guy.

I am a physics teacher from NY who has a house in PA. I like cars. I have a bunch. I'm female. I even posted a picture of myself. Is that fake too??!?! I almost bought one of these cars. I told you where and I told you who you could contact to go see if I'm real.

Go call David Lee at Westchester Toyota. I'm 5'5', 120 lbs, long brown curly hair, blue eyes. Go ask if he knows who I am if you are so skeptical. You want the name of the Chevy dealer so you can call over there and see if I meet this description? I don't even know why I care.

Is this what guys do "to have a laugh?" That's kind of sad and complicated. And no, I have never driven a light Japanese sports car. I listed all of the cars I have ever owned. My first car was an Acura Legend. I then had an XJ8 Jaguar. When I quit my job as a lawyer in NYC, I went nuts and bought a bunch of cars and fixed them, sold them, kept some. They were mostly American muscle/sports cars. I have two Priuses now, that's about it for Japanese cars.

I dunno, everytime I think of the Camaro I think of the Titanic quote:
"It's not a boat, it's a ship!"
The thing is heavy, and it's built by GM, not the best car maker.
Taking 5 minutes,I could easily find more problems with GM cars, including the camaro.

ANYWAYS.
But you're happy with the car. That's all that matters.
As you've seen already, the chirping "crickets" that you heard is normal, and since it's a cheap car, less sound deafening was used. If anything, it is a design issue, not a reliability issue. Not like a Toybaru would spontaneously combust.

I'm sure some of this has to do with my age. I'm 35. When I was in high school, you either had a Camaro, Trans Am, Monte Carlo, or Mustang. Those were the cars to have. If you are in your 20's, then there is a new generation of cars, not the ones I grew up with. I don't think the way you do and I'm guessing it's because I'm older than you.

In a few years, I will get one of these after the current ones get some miles on them. Right now some people like Consumer Reports are saying that the reliability isn't quite there. They gave it a black circle. They gave the Camaro a half of a black circle, so not much better, but I have more experience with Camaros.

Is there some thread where people have listed high mile FRS/BRZs?

I love American muscle. I sincerely hope she enjoys her Camaro.

I'd personally wait for it on the ats platform

Anyone ever play the arcade game Altered Beast? It was a normal guy that gets some potion or whatever, and turns into this "Altered Beast." A normal slim dude just walking along, and all of the sudden he is instantly surrounded by all these muscles, and has hair all over his body, and with such big muscles he has lots of force. Along with those muscles is girth, which can be quite difficult to maneuver while trying to pose in the mirror at the gym. It is quite possible this Altered beast has poor balance.
