It's anything but standard but that's what we call it. Sadly as an American, my mind will never be able to perceive a mile as 1.6 km. Granted, I've memorized that 120km is about 70-80 miles.

For some reason we still haven't converted.
The only one I can remember is 2.54 cm is an inch. I though that was gonna be so useless but it actually turned out to be pretty darn useful in lots of measurements.

Fine by me, actually. Measuring quantity of gas by liters is as assinine as measuring quantity of gas by quarts.

Now, I WOULD be alright with doing away with inches and feet and going to centimeters and meters. Everything else? F-it. Stanard units are better.

I feel like this is a lot of work/money just to get "sti" on top of the one gauge I never look at anyway lol.

But hey, its the only way right now. At first I though this thread was going to be an actual Sti cluster

That's what I thought. But I like the backlighting on this tS cluster MUCH better than the stock BRZ cluster lighting.

The mileage for your car is stored ONLY in the cluster, not the ECU.

I would not recommend doing this swap unless you have the cluster pre-programmed with your mileage. Otherwise, this mod counts as odometer fraud if the car is ever sold and the new owner is not told in writing on the title exchange paperwork.

Eh, you can get away with it by taking your car to a service station and having them write down your old mileage (old cluster) and your new mileage (new cluster) and stick it on your car somewhere. I did that with an old Civic of mine that I swapped clusters to a newer one. I had 0 issues with getting that Civic inspected and selling the car to Carmax.

5. Pull the cluster and unplug the connector.
6. Install the new cluster.
7. Reinstall the cluster connector. You will need to push the cable back into that hole.
8. Follow the instructions in reverse to reinstall everything.

As you can see, the back light is light blue. Not white or orange. The gear indicator, shift light and shift indicator works perfectly.
You don't need to stop at your Subaru dealer to pair it with onboard key radio code. It is plug and play.
As for the odometer, your car mileage will be at 0, like the picture below.
I was also unable to switch from MPH to KM/H, C to F and mp/g to km/l. The top button is now useless.
Can you post a pic of package and part id?

Bringing this one from the dead.

Are there any problems with the immobilizer, especially those with keyless entry & go?

I installed the cluster into a BRZ with the immobilizer and keyless access. No issue for the past 2 years.
