That is why I am going to paint the spoiler and antenna a completely different color. Plus, it will add a little bit of flavor to my car. The wheels (whenever I get them) will be painted whiteout eventually, to somewhat match the car. The wheels will not sit flush against another whiteout part, so the difference will not be as noticeable. At least that is how it seems in my head.

I could not get the quote function to work.

Walking up on the car will throw the white too at a certain able (because of the angle of the stollen wing) Short of not adding any body parts onto it, it's basically what you get. BEAUTIFUL color, but I'll probably stick to solid colors from now on and skip the 3 stage paint

Just going to sit on it and enjoy the car. For such a small part, the wing adds to much for me to get rid of it….maybe, I'll just find some "natural" bulbs for my garage. It would be cheaper "

My shark fin matched perfectly…..or at least still throws the pearl But it also is curvy, which I think is the key. The spoiler has sharp edges, which doesn't help. Like I mentioned, on a normal sunny day, it's perfect. I have thought about the same thing, though. It's not a bad idea to pain them different colors

Yeah, I see it. But I don't care too much. Another Toyota based quality slide IMO. I don't see this stuff on regular subarus.

I think at least some of those pictures is the angle of light or the fresnel effect which causes glancing angles of a material to reflect more but light up less.

Love the shape of your spoiler. Toyota and Subaru should make that an available option, they could do a better job at the factory with the paint and fitment issues.

With a spoiler like this almost all the pictures will show the fresnel effect to some extent. So I agree. When the spoiler goes REALLY white, that's just variants in the paint, material, pearl, temperature, time to dry ext (all the variants talked about above). If you look in all the pics, the spoiler is always lighter, even when matching. That's more of what the fresnel effect is talking about.

Go take a look at some of the body kit pics in other threads. I haven't seen a single one that's not metal, pull this light changing effect and flip the switch to "REALLY WHITE"

Here's a link from 2012 when CARSMO first started having this problem. This is when I found out I wasn't the only one. Also, now that more body kits are being put on these cars, I'm noticing this problem on them too

I agree! My cobra buddies HATE this car (rednecks ), but the first compliment I got from them on the car was after I put the wing on. "Brian, the wing really finishes the car! It looks really good." I was pretty stoked to hear that come out of their mouths.

Mine's a whiteout matching mess from hell. Any idea's how I could swing this by Toyota/Scion for getting it redone because it sucks from factory?
