You will not crack the SS Tial turbine housing driving through water LOL. If you run through water deep enough to damage the turbo, I'm certain you'll also crack your engine block in the process, so the turbo will be the least of your worries.

Curious as to why you put the turbo that low though? Water won't be an issue but since this car doesn't really have a great unserpanel, have you considered all the crap flying up from the road?

Yeah, we stopped trying to make more power there because the clutch was slipping. After we replace the clutch I'm expecting about 20whp more without changing anything else, then an additional 20-30 from smaller 13 psi pulley.

Is that the stock clutch that is slipping? and that seems to be pretty on point. what do you expect to push with the bigger C38-81? low boost 370ish? high boost 400+?

i have NEVER seen e85 anywhere here...I don't really see e85 as a viable option for anyone who dd's their car...I am everywhere on a daily basis and the thought of having to rely on trying to find a station somewhere that had e85 scares me...How could you take a road trip or go anywhere further then the stations you know 100% carry it.

the turbo is going to get you more power overall. but superchargers have their niche, i like the way they put power down linearly. i had a 400+whp turbo s2k and really didn't like the way the power came on, just comes down to preference i suppose. either way you go you win in reality, as long as the tune is safe, it's going to put a huge ass smile on your face for a long time and thats what really matters haha |
