Man. All this stuff going on right under my nose, and I didn't even notice... I've hardly seen a single 86 with what I might think was a car person since we arrived in OC. (Yea, I know there is a local forum, but I don't browse very much)

Only noticing this because I was searching around for a better variety of pics of ptuning kit. Looks great man. Great work with the photo documenting of your install. It will be very useful for others when they tackle the DIY install.

Thanks for reading and comments. I'm going to put together a video of the install sometime soon for even more viewing pleasure :-)

So is mine. Trust me, you want a 3" cap. PVC uses ID or Inner Diameter. Therfor the plastic on the outside is bigger than 3". Lastly, add on that its a 3" cap, so that is even bigger than the pipe. It turns out to be an exact fit for the intake pipe.

Good point. Thanks man for the info. And yea, I thought the PTuning intake was 4" for the FR-S also, so it kinda thru me off when you said to get a 3" cap.

So you just tap it for the pressure adapter?

Yup. I drilled a hole just the right size and then shoved it in with some JB Weld... Although I'm sure your basic hot melt or silicone rubber filler will work just fine. Start low PSI and work your way up. You may or may not hear oil churning or even the scavenging pump making noise. I was able to find one leak due to a broken screw clamp on a coupler that wasn't tight enough. I went up to about 20 psi at the most. No need to go higher. You will be able to hear and feel any leaks by getting up close and placing your hand over each coupler. If you can't reach but can see - use dish soapy water in a spray bottle and look for bubbles. Its best to do this when everything is cold.

Oh and don't be alarmed as your tank will lose pressure continuously and it may not be a leak. I think the common is loosing 1 psi a second. But if its coming from a pipe you'll hear the difference.
