I could probably get the actual price of the vehicle using Google's cache for the site. Other than that I don't think I took any evidence of the car being sold to be for that priced.
The extended warranty would be taken down since I'm already using aftermarket bolts-on. |

Yes. 200 Dollar Dealer Fee? That's quite a lot.

Although AFAIR, for Toyota, if it's within 30 days, you can cancel it with no penalty and get a refund.

No, you signed a contract with clearly printed numbers showing what you agreed to pay.
Were you misled? Probably Is it a shitty dealership? Probably Unethical? Definitely Did they do the same when I bought my FRS? They tried. Good luck fighting it without printed documentation of the price you claim it was. If you've got that it should be rather simple, Pure Price may work in your favor. |

Does anyone have any experience with having to cancel the Toyota Extra Care?
I read somewhere that you must have a letter claiming that you indeed want to cancel it regardless of what the dealership has to say. |

Sure, when typing up the contract the finance guy used the dealer ID number whatever they use to identify the car in their system and mumbled "and the car is $26xxx"
"No it isn't" "That's what the system says" "Well I'm not paying that" "That's what the system says" "That's not what I agreed to, that's not what the window sticker says" "... what does the window sticker say?" "$25,255" "... will you give me the keys so I can go get the window sticker?" "Sure" He slinks back in with window sticker puts in the appropriate price and then tries to upsell me on warranties and such as if nothing happened. I may have misremembered since it was over a year ago but he definitely had the wrong price and had to go retrieve the window sticker for the price we agreed to. I have no doubt had I not protested he would have happily taken the $800+. I didn't even get to keep the window sticker ![]() Maybe he grabbed the wrong ID number, maybe the car was earmarked for their standard option package had I not picked it up. All I know is I took my damn time looking over the contract and asking about the charges that weren't obvious to me before signing and I don't plan on returning. |

OP, this is going to be a tough battle.
My advice is to try to fight this once. Get a printout of the $20,700 price. And go to the dealer and say that you feel like you got a terrible deal. Admit you were foolish to sign so quick. Ask specifically what you want. Tell them you feel like you paid $1,168 over, and you don't like the $200 dealer fee. Ask for this refund and say that it still gives the dealer a handsome profit on the car. I'm not even sure what the $2,090 is for. But you have to talk specifically what you want. Don't just say you don't like the price, etc. Be specific. This is an important lesson you need to learn. If they don't budge, just let it be. Enjoy the car. |

The math adds up. The only thing you did wrong was the extended warranty.

I'm just trying to come up with an explanation. I can't see the whole contract, but I do see $7500 total credit. Did you trade in a car? Or was that cash down?
If you're upside down on a financed car and you trade it in, it is not uncommon for the dealer to raise the price of the car you're buying "x" dollars while also giving you "x" dollars of extra value on the trade in (value that's over and above what the dealer is giving you for the trade). This allows the dealer to show the trade in loan as being paid off and sort of balances out the extra on the sale price.

But regardless, even if the advertised price was a "sale", the dealer almost certainly still had 2-3k of profit worked into the deal.
