Was I ripped-off?
1 Attachment(s)
I recently got my 2013 Silver Fr-s. The vehicle was priced at 20,700k with 10k miles on it.
Here it's the contract which i signed: [see attachment] The more I look at it the more i feel like I've been ripped the F&^* off. |
What "Vehicle Service Agreement" did you agree to for $2090?
|
If the car was priced at $20,700, why is the sales price in the agreement $21,868?
Also what is the vehicle service agreement? Did you buy some kind of maintenance plan with the car? |
I did agree to have extended warranty. Which I guess its the vehicle service agreement.

The question you should've asked would have correctly been before you bought the car. "Am I getting ripped off?"
|
However, I'm not sure why the sale price of the vehicle is at 21,668.

Post a photo of the entire contract, sans your and the dealership's name/address.

hmm so your drive out was 25600?? 4100 in tax title and fees?
|
Vehicle is priced at $20,700, yet you sign for $21,668? You pay $2090 for Vehicle Service Agreement? What is that? Grand total $25,600? Just shy of brand new car territory. Does your contract have a return stipulation?
|
Dealer processing charge of $200? (Not required by law?)
What price did you agree to pay? Pre-taxes etc... Nick C. |

You bought an extended warranty for $2090. You can typically cancel and get a pro-rated refund if you don't want this. Everything else looks roughly normal (approx 6.5% taxes, title, licensing). |
find your buyers order, compare it with your contract. if the prices on those 2 papers do not match then go back with the car and ALL OF YOUR PAPERWORK and talk to them. Don't be an ass about it but be firm enough knowing you may walk out of there without the car. It could just have been a simple number crunching error, or they could be screwing you. But your buyers order will have the first agreed upon price.
If you do not understand it have them go over it with you again. If there really is a mistake they will rework it. If not then that was an expensive lesson learned. Keep your head up though. |
