Did you ever resolve this?? I got a Kingston Data Traveler 100 G3 32GB and it doesn't see it either. It just doesn't even seem to detect that there is a USB in the car.... How do I fix that?!

What happens if it didn't show me any message at all? It just simply doesn't highlight USB as an option (I have a touchscreen). I don't know how to fix this!

Is there a program to sync my itunes playlists into folders on the USB drive? I like it but wouldn't want to spend time organized folders for playlists and such.

I also have a problem with the car detecting that I have music on my phone (connected through bluetooth). For some reason, even though I do have music on my phone, it doesn't show up at all if I choose to play bluetooth audio.
Anyone know what I can do about this?? OR my USB detection problem?! I'm becoming frustrated. I just picked up this car YESTERDAY and already I can't get the audio going, PLUS, my trunk won't open (with the button, the remote, OR the mechanical key). |

Android... But as an update I finally got my trunk open, and the car suddenly started detecting the songs on my phone... Plus I tried a different USB and it works!

Be aware that a failed USB stick can cause the head unit to reset itself, requiring re-entry of startup values. This happened to me three times in ten minutes before I realized what was causing it and removed the USB stick.
It was an 8 GB SanDisk that failed, but I suspect that the earlier post was right about poor reliability in this form factor. |
