I'm currently running Phillips 4300k bulbs and the light output is great. I plan on sticking with 4300k when the BRZ bulbs need replacing, don't really feel the need to try and get more blue out of them with higher color temps.

This isn't the best with regards to picture quality, but here's a rough comparison between the temperatures.

i'd like to stick to the function > form formula here, but i don't need maximum output possible since i rarely do backroad driving and even @ 6000k, it's 3x brighter than conventional halogen bulbs; more than enough for me... i hate any and all orange/yellow hue in lighting...

6000K looks really good, and not much compromise. I might do it eventually.

as far as hid temperatures go, i always thought it was a personal preference, unless if you're running 13/15k or something... 3x brighter than stock halogens is bright enough for me ~

No. Isn't it around 8K or 9K that they're only as bright as halogens? Beyond that, fucking stupid. Even at that color temperature, fucking stupid.

It's not about YOU it's about the other drivers on the road.

i'm not sure what you are trying to say, that i'm blinding other drivers or that the blue hue is annoying?
