Hmm... ok, then it must be the full byte as I originally thought. Let me chat to Mike from Tactrix, see if we're missing something.

B01C is a different rom, different addresses. I'll need to post those up for you.

If you have the addresses for B01C ROM handy, that would be awesome. If not, I don't mind flashing the A01C ROM.

It seems silly to me to go backwards just for logging. I imagine there must be some improvements in B or they wouldn't have bothered making it.

Oh yeah, I'm with you. I'd prefer to stay on the B ROM, but I am itching to see how the logging looks on my car. I flashed the B01C ROM from my original A00C ROM, so A01C is still newer than what I had.

Seem to remember shiv saying differences between A01C and B01C were pretty minor possibly just idle fix again. Strange they changes ROM structure though.

There must have been a reason to recompile the ROM. Probably some logic changes somewhere. Since we don't fully understand either ROM, it's hard to say. I'm running the newest version because I don't feel the need for launch control or flat foot shifting. I would like throttle blip, though, since my knees are no friend of heel toe.

Whatever the changes were, all around the idle logic areas of the rom.

I work at Toyota and searched TIS for the "calibration files" as toyota calls them. The latest rom's available right now are updates for the US are B01C MT and B01D for Auto. These two rom's replace all previous US Rom's. The TSB is to flash this new Rom if the customer has complaints of a rough idle. If a new rom comes out I would be me than glad to post it.

No there's not. Maybe something the Americans have struggled with. I don't know of any idle issues over here.

@AdrianG @steve99 @Td-d @all

ok guys, it's warmer and i finally got few hours today to spend on my logcfg.txt and check my thoughts.

i think that the onboard logging code seems to be buggy or has some kind of limitations.

1. i got the defog switch to work by defining all params in ascending sorting by mem addresses.

2. i have 73 params defined, if i enable all of them the logger just chokes with logcfg.out empty and no csv file. Either there is a limit on number parameters or theres is limit on length of parameter name. or something else.

here's my cfg file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4i...it?usp=sharing
