but of course if you're opting for high horsepower (400 whp) that's a whole different story

I wonder if it's attainable with this kind of kit and/or TC might be a better alternative at that point

Update: I guess a little Googling helped answer some of my questions (http://www.radiumauto.com/Catch-Can-...Z-86-P374.aspx), but has anybody installed one with this kit?

I've installed but haven't drove the car yet.

I've been running my cans for the past 2000 miles... Made my own brackets.

Crappy photo I found on someone's fb of my engine bay. If you look on the top left part of the manifold you'll see one(used all black hose), and top right close to the firewall you'll see the other. Used clear hose on the outlet side, to see if I catch any residue and so far nothing noticeable. Working extremely well, catching quite a bit esp on the pcv to manifold side.

Actual cans are ADD W1's

Easy drain access, have dip sticks, baffled well(also added small scrubbers into the baffles for extra peace of mind), and are really nicely made in billet aluminum.

for those who have the drop/choppiness in power after 6500 rpm, Has anyone of you changed your spark plugs with a 1 step colder iridium ones and tuned for it?

This is what I am referring to

@gmsii has mentioned this in the "KW discussion thread" and it's also recommended in the installation manual (page 2, bullet point 5)

Quote:
generally the high rpm choppiness is from the spark plug...these were stock plugs, we will try a step colder...should smooth it out
My kit is in the mail and I am wondering if I should go ahead and order my plugs too..How hard was the install? I know it's somewhat hard to reach on Subaru engines but never had to change it with my previous Subarus

I haven't tried on this car yet. But you may find it easier to undo the motor mount nuts and raise the engine, even if just one side at a time.

My forester originally had the plug holes between the frame rails as well, basically you figure out a sequence of adaptor sand sockets to make it work if not raising the engine

I think someone on the forums was able to install the plugs without jacking the motor .. with the correct tools it should be possible since plug change is pretty easy job as long as you have enough clearance..

If I ever change my plugs I will provide a DIY for that

on my forester doing it without jacking meant inserting one tool at a time, removing one at a time, etc, once you had the sequence and the proper tools it wasn't terrible considering how often you mess with plugs,

still may actually be easier just to loosen the mounts and jack it up a bit.

This has been covered. I plan to do this by jacking the motor one side at a time. It's clearly the faster, easier way to go.

btw... also covered... I don't think you need a colder plug, but I do think there's point to reducing the gap for FI.

I've learned that the OEM plugs are good up to 14 psi so I won't change it until I need to do it

We post updates on the Kraftwerks Facebook page daily, and we like to maintain our website as best as possible. Our site is also searchable. We also would have made it a point to update everyone here on FT86club to avoid statements about us "taking your cash". Customer service has searched through the emails and we can not find anything regarding an oil cooler order that is pending. Can you pm us your name, email and phone number please?
