Not sure what your standards are for situations like this.
First of all, I am not involved in any discussion that was going on between you or anyone else about the 0-60 speed. I just added this to the conversation to show there were different results from different publications.

I personally couldn't care less if it does 7-3 or 5.5 I want the car regardless for what it is and represents, and as long as it FEELS as the reviews say I'm happy.

mustang also has more weight up front, not running on prius tires but running on performance tires, also the gt has 1.5" wider tires

Installing "better" pads will not make you stop faster. Installing stickier tires will.

I'm just stating that a more conservative launch that some of the other reviews have been doing are more likely representative of what we would feel comfortable with (obviously can't speak for everyone since people treat their cars differently). 0-60 times are NOT the selling point of this car. But ~6.9-7.1 sec is probably a more fair representation of this car than the 6.4s that MT got. That was all I was trying to say. YMMV
Most people will probably misshift and hit 60 @ 9.2 seconds

It's sooo quiet. They got it bottled up tight it sounds like. All you hear is tire noise.

You must be one of those guys with a pre-order on a BRZ, and there's NO CHANCE you have any plans for Performance Modifications, right? I mean this car is just adequate in performance so what's the purpose?

I guarantee that anybody on this forum who keeps defending how slow this car is, has plans to spend gobs of cash to make this car MUCH faster.

Some of us would rather not have to spend an additional $5k to make an already expensive car fast. That's supposed to be the purpose of spending the big money to begin with.

Not everyone on here is looking to make the car faster in a straight-line. Many of us don't want a high hp car that blasts off low 0-60 or 1/4 miles times. There are intangibles that we look for in a car. I realize that some want high hp and "fast" cars. That is great.

what they could do is do a custom intercooler in back and underneath just like they do with mr platforms. i saw an install the otherday that looked really clean and functional. it would save space too.

So I am concerned their is no way I will be able to drive this car, and I am 6'2. 6'3 with shoes on.
My only thought is perhaps your driving position is a bit off. I fit just fine in the Altima and the Z as well. You can do a quick search of the forum, but there's quite a few taller folks who've had no problem getting comfortable in the BRZ. I'm not blowing smoke, I sat in the car for a good five minutes moving every which way and not once did my head hit the roof or did I feel the least bit uncomfortable. The best thing to do is just head over to your local Subaru dealer and try it out for yourself. Good luck!
