The secondary ECU would monitor the four intake and exhaust sensor pairs as well as the throttle position and control the injectors.
This would allow the ultimate in mix control: optimized per cylinder. It could also constantly compare the four MAF values and send up a flare if the values got too far apart for some reason (probably mechanical failure in the linkage).
Yea, but then you would have to have 4 CAI's and 4 air filters stuck in front of the radiator...'cuz that's the only way to make a CAI make MOAR power....

I'd be horribly interested in upgrading the engine, staying NA, and putting out in the neighborhood of 250hp. Once the ECU is cracked and the bolt-ons are done, this seems like the next step....I fully intend to turn my FR-S/BRZ into the performance equivalent of a Cayman (not a Cayman S).
^ This.

well without putting the revs up that not going to happen and increasing the rpm expensive as you need to embark on some analysis and destructive testing to establish whether the stock bottom end will go bang at 9,000 rpms

and having seen the guts of one of these I'd say the valve followers are going to need some work as its only the same design as the toyota V6 which spits its followers out at 8000 + rpm

consequently you end up charging several thousand to replace parts to get the revs up safely and pick up 30 bhp over the bolt on kits ?

so its not financially viable as who is going to spend 4-5K on a 30 bhp upgrade when you fit a superchgarger for the same amount and pick up 100-130 bhp with a wider power band and a better more usable engine ?

is anyone revving these lumps high on a day to day basis or during a race series?
as I haven't heard of people doing 8500rpm except for the odd nutter on a very occasional basis / missed gear scenario

Not sure if this is new news to anyone but we all need something from this company to lower compression and have forged pistons/rods for Turbo/SC.

COOL.

Any news on this?

That post is from 3 years ago... have you not seen the Cosworth SC or the header/exhaust combo? That's what they meant in their message to the OP.

I have seen stage 2, but I was asking about stage 3.
I know it was somehow announced, but nobody knows where it will be ready. Thats what interest me.

Haven't seen anything on stage 3 or if there are plans for it. The biggest hurdle they will have for a stage 3 with internals is the oil pressure.
