Damn.

WTB permanent pedal dance (diagnostic) mode.

The pedal dance eliminates TC reactivating itself when you get enough lateral G + wheel lift.

I've yet to experience "ice mode".

I thought in one of the pedal dance posts/thread someone had posted a Japanese video of an automated pedal dance controller thing.

Does anyone know where you might be able to source a male and female plug without wires for the TC and VSC buttons? Using the TDR-M relay and taking power off the 12V outlet a simple harness could be made to work like the Motec harness for engine management.

If you take a photo of each connector, i've found the guys at http://www.aeromotive.us/ are good at sourcing them.

I agree with others, this Is my favorite mod thus far.

I ended up making a plug and play harness myself out of the blue blade terminal/sockets, and 16ga wire. It is only about 2 inches long, and plugs in between console power outlet and harness. The blade terminals fit perfectly everywhere except the hot side of the harness is slightly more narrow, and I had to snip about 1/32'' off the side to get it to fit. The only thing I had to solder was the green wire on the traction switch itself, all the power and grounds in the harness work great.

Oh and I bought hooded terminals to use on the TDR-M so everything was protected against shorts, and just cut the plastic covers off when they interfered. I might take pictures eventually but I never even pulled the console out to install, so there isn't a very good line of sight.

My harness layout:

There is a company that makes premade modules for doing this. I have used them on a Hyundai Genesis Coupe, MazdaSpeed 6 and Mini Cooper S and they have worked great.

The few I have seen for the 86 platform are pretty expensive. I am away from home for work but as soon as I get home(in a month) I plan on finding a source for actual plugs.
