Weird! Never seen that before,
Had to google that one. Why not buy a wrench? Lol
Wouldn't mind a magnetic drain plug...

How did the install go? Any glitches? I've really been thinking about adding the oil cooler.

How do you like the exhaust?

Hey guys, detailing season is almost upon us so I just wanted to give you a heads up.

I hate playing a police officer, but a reputable detailer in Ottawa got busted for claiming & advertising on his website that he uses a professional version of a paint coating but in reality he was using a consumer version. So basically customers paid for and expected to get a pro version but in reality they got a regular consumer version paint coating. (He was not an authorized installer for that particular coating).

In short, do your homework

Ill post another reminder before Wed, but please send a PSN friend request to:
GTP_pyxen.

There will be an enduro I believe but no details quite yet.

Btw, the new Seasonals are up, so you'll have a week to pip me.

Just got back from Ogdensburg with a new set of 245/40R17 Conti Extreme Contact DW tires.
Spent an extra 15 minutes pulled to a side lot past the border booths on the way into the US just with another 20 cars and either a lunch deli truck or an x-ray truck driving slowly past.

I recommend @genometuning right here on the forums
$39 in duty tacked onto the trip on the way back in.

Next question: Any recommendations about where to get the tires mounted and balanced on new rims?

It's $504 for a set vs $464 for the V12s. Plus, there's a mail-in rebate ($65 gift MasterCard) for Canadians here:

Over 16550 and picked it up at the end of August.
Almost 10k on the stock tires in those first 3 months.

On Merivale does a good job with the tires. Like the fact that they take appointments and have been never been late. Just an FYI. I personally have not purchased TPMS sensors for my summer tire setup and the light comes on after about 25 km. Not that bid a deal.

See Ralf at Cdn Tire Carling. He's the shop manager, MCO member and fellow racer. Make sure you mention the referral and he'll get Phil to personally do them.

He did my Contis on 18's last year, nicely balanced and not a scratch.

Was anyone from one here waiting in the USA border lineup going in around 10am today in a black FRS/BRZ? The lines were out to the bridge - I crossed in at 8am

I see it must have been @OrangeGuitar lol

Head's up for anyone who is like me and needs to get some garage gear.

CDN Tire has a 2.25 tone low-profile jack and 2-ton Michelin jack stands 50% off right now.

Yup, that was me. The lineup was not bad when I got to the border at 9:50.
The guy at the booth only asked a couple of questions, then came out to check out the trunk and as he walked back I barely heard him say "Hmmm BRZ...".
He must have just been out to take a look at the car - he would have been more impressed if I washed it first.

Just made it through the booth when border patrol motioned for me and about 20 cars after to head over for a scan.
Just 5 minutes earlier I would have made it to the UPS store by 10.
