Let's also not forget that the JDL result was from a Dyno Dynamics using it's inflated Dynojet "equivalent" mode which reads higher than any other dyno I've ever seen. AFAIK the only NA FA20s to ever dyno at more than 200whp on pump gas were all tested on Dyno Dynamics in Dynojet "equivalent" mode.

Still not apples to apples but not nearly as laughable as the above apple to broccoli comparison.

only in a frs/gt86/brz forum would you see an argument on 10hp differences! lol
![]() IM with you ! they have comedic value though and its fun reading them! technically its not that off topic! the op did ask a question that had to do with headers

The OP's newbie question was answered in the third post. How many times or different ways would you whiners like to see it answered?

I just think its hilarious how little the actual person who works for Borla knows about the company's products, that would be enough for me to stay away from them. I used to work customer service for a major firearms manufacturer and if I put out information on a forum that was that wrong, I would have been fired pretty quickly.

Why is everyone trying to justify what they bought? You bought it, enjoy it!! You honestly won't feel the difference in power between the Borla or JDL, anywhere in the rev range. JDL has great quality, but the Borla is a great value(although the OFH are better IMO). It is only car parts people.
Also, yes it does remove the cat. Will you get a code, only if you aren't tuned. Otherwise you are fine. |

Jesus, can we all just put our e-peens away for a minute. The Borla and JDL UELs are made made for different sections of the market and their respective pricing and quality reflect this. The borla is significantly cheaper than the JDL because not everyone can afford to buy the best of every part they replace on their car. JDL fanboys need to stop being elitest. Borla fan boys need to recognise their header was made to a price point not a preformance goal.
And the Borla Rep SHOULD have done their research before posting but it is not the end of the world. Everyone makes mistakes. [/RANT] Quote:

There seem to be many knowledgable people in this thread so my question is now that I've added the Innovate SC and the Raceseng 70mm pulley do I need to change my map sensor to a 2.5 bar? My tuner suggested this as he said the ECU can't read over 7psi on the stock one. I have also read that some people say not to change it so I just need a few opinions please. Thank you.

Just out of curiosity, is it recommended to install a brand new header (UEL in this case) along with an overpipe at the same time? If not, would it be fine to simply install an aftermarket catless header while keeping the stock overpipe? I know for a fact an aftermarket overpipe isn't going to give any significant or noticeable horse power improvement over the stock overpipe, but is it worth it to upgrade to an aftermarket overpipe (performance wise)? Is it worth it to spend a couple hundred bucks on an overpipe for slightly better flow- is my real question. (I feel like this second question is redundant and voids my aforementioned question lol) Comments, suggestions, and opinions are greatly appreciated!
