It happens. There's bad people in every branch. Except maybe for the coast guard because there's really no one in there.

I was in the USCG. We had our share of losers too but we were still the best branch of the armed forces by a light year (about 6 trillion miles for all you jarheads, grunts, squids and flyboys)!

BTW, thanks for the info about the structure. I was never military, so I wasn't sure about the proper course of action. I just remember reading about a scumbag in San Diego who tried to scam a member on a different board, and the victim contacted the next guy up above him and suddenly found the scammer MUCH more cooperative.
