Will this work, hypothetically, with aftermarket inlets? Since it moves the intake manifold up about 36mm, wouldn't that make it more difficult for an inlet to reach the airbox? Or has this been accounted for?

It should still work depending on which inlet you have.

I'm still skeptical on this. Idk why, but I am.

I could get one 3d printed for that price, but of course, that wouldn't be feasible on production item scale. Still, molds can be surprisingly cheap when sourced outside of the country. I know of a company that has custom molded polycarb parts on a scale that would be lower than what this would be and their end user price for a kit with multiple molded parts and some springs. Total packaged cost with shipping less than $40.

Thx. I can say these will not fit under a Hotchkis strut bar. At least for sure with the engine cover on.

3d printed would never last and i would never like that material in an engine bay near oil/gas etc. it all depends on scale and mold/design complexity. something with this part volume is going to have significant wall thickness variations and will result in a lot of coring. to retain rigidity it will need ribs, this brings in the issue of side actions. With all these thickness variations warpage becomes an issue if you are trying to keep a flatness tolerance within spec. then you are going to want to use a nylon or other s/c material due to their ability to withstand the environment it is going to be used in. so yes it is doable. is it worth it? meh, billet is good enough for me.
