I have had the same issue since I bought the car in July 13, currently at 7.5k miles. Of course I can never replicate it for the dealer. Happens on rough services (usually concrete pavement) at a very specific frequency. To me, it sounds like it's coming from the A pillar or trim that's in contact with glass/metal, as sometimes on windy days the buzzing seems to be in sync with the wind noise (wind gusts on the highway). I have two other rattles in my car, but b/c I know what's causing them (loose right front speaker, loose wire bundle under dash) they aren't nearly as annoying.

All, the thread you guys keep referencing with the buzzing that was fixed by foam was mine. I posted a video in that thread of the buzzing sound I was experiencing. If you have that buzzing sound, try the fix in that thread. If not, it's probably a different issue. Your dealer likely has a tool called a Steelman Engine Ear that can detect the source of your problem. I know you hate dealers, yadda yadda, but you're just giving yourself a hard time unless you know for sure your dealership's service department sucks.

I have some sort of a buzzing noise and it's driving me insane. I, too, am not able to pinpoint the source.. At first I thought it was static noise through the speakers. I beat the shit out of the center console and that didn't reveal the source of the buzz either..

I notice mine stops when I turn on the windshield wipers!!

Which would indicate that it's not anything inside the cabin.
Maybe mine is different than everyone else but next time try your wipers.

buzzing or rattling? mine was more of a rattle, but it always sounded like it was coming from the dash/steering wheel area.. then i found that little plastic cover on top of the engine that says toyota D4S and subaru on it was rattling.. pulled that off and my rattle went away.

worth checking out if these others fixes havent done it for you.
