I edited my post since you quoted me. Mind you this is looking a minor single incident FLKC which iirc subaru even considers "okay" but some tuners consider more on the aggressive side. It is not enough to pull the IAM for being considered major knock. Your AFR's honestly aren't that much richer than a lot of others, may just need to pull some of the upper voltage area down by a small percentage. I prefer turning of fuel trims for tweaking the maf and then re-enabling. They can swing up and down here and there and getting them to land consistently close to 0 is a bit of a task which is why its a good idea to keep on the conservative side of tuning with the LTFT enabled for WOT.

v1.57 RELEASED

Hi guys,

v1.57 Maps released and available for download HERE

3/18/14
v1.57 Changes:
-Added full tuned map and XML support for A01N (EH 6MT) ROMs.
-Beta status removed

So unless you have an A01N ecu and have been waiting for new tunes, there is no reason to update from v1.56

Cheers,
Shiv

Any changes to the maps? My IAM has been getting dialed back unexpectedly under low load conditions. Starting to get really annoying.

There are no mapping changes with the last release. Just added ROM support for N series ROMs.

If you have a log showing the the conditions your IAM is betting reduced, I may perhaps give you a suggestion of what to change in the map.

Quick suggestion - it would be pretty amazing if you guys do a development blog. Would be a great place to throw down your thoughts and prevent people from asking the same questions over and over again. It would definitely benefit the community as it will be a compilation of official statements from you guys, makes it a lot more manageable than flipping through massive threads. Perhaps also gives opportunity to shed some light on future developments.

I would subscribe to that ASAP

Would be good to know the exact logic ie x number of fbkc events greater than y value in time period z causes coarse correction, but its probably more complex. The stuff on RR is ok but its for WRX ECU so imagine may not apply totally to FA20
I can't pull FLKC, but I'll try to remember to get a log showing IAM and FBKC. It's pretty crazy how fast I an get the IAM to drop and climb. 5 minutes of stop and go driving and it's down under 0.70 easily, a couple good WOT blasts and it's up to 1.0 again.

I did 3 runs starting in third and then shifting to fourth. Below video for the second run. Note, Speed is in KM/H

Appreciate your comments
First step, get your MAF scaled properly. You're working with some pretty huge trims in places. At WOT it's not bad, but at partial throttle they're pretty big. Each car is different, and the trims are keeping you safe, but ideally you don't want to rely on them. Nothing wrong with the tune, this is to be expected with canned tunes.

As for the AFR, that's a question more for Shiv. There's a decent gap between the AFR commanded and the actual AFR with a pretty small LTFT, not sure what his comments would be.

Remember that LTFTs are set by STFT occurances. There are no STFT in open loop operation so the LTFT at higher RPM will take longer to set in. Its another reason to target richer AFRs at the top end. IIRC the last LTFT area is set for over 60g/s operation.

None. There are no tuning changes. Just added ROM support.
