This question literally makes no sense whatsoever.

However OFT currently doesn't support non MAF based tuning so there is a tuning limitation. This post is about vortech switching the actual blower as the original unit was different on the original release. I don't know of anyone that has had the original unit as they offered to replace anyone who had the original with the new one.
The OFT should have no problem supporting up to 12psi with the Vortech hardware. There is quite a bit of headroom with the factory MAF thanks to the larger-than-stock diameter MAF housing.

Not to bring this thread down but is it true the SC kit only comes with a 90 day warranty?

I called last week because the idler pulley has been making some chirping noise and also to find a fix for the tube grinding on the blower pulley before it shreds the belt. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41080

I was told that you guys are not using the gates idler pulley anymore but now the Ford F8KZ-8678-AA and ill will have to buy it to fix the issue.... ($40) I didn't ask about the new redesigned tube price since apparently i cannot get it replace for free, even tho its pretty much a factory fault for having it so close to the belt/pulley.

Of course its my fault, I should of done the research on the warranty before purchasing, but im just staggered by this limited warranty.

1 year warranty wouldn't hurt, specially for early adopters.

P.S. Note that a new fuel pump has been replace by Subaru 2 months ago due to the know chirping issue, i checked with a stethoscope new fuel pump is doing fine.

Yes I am quite familiar with the maf capabilities of the vortech unit which is a big reason as to why it is my preferred recommendation due to simplicity. However I was referencing the race unit. The race unit can spin to iirc 62krpm vs 50krpm. Depending on your setup at atmospheric conditions typically the 3.125" pulley at sea level would likely be in the 4.9-5v range at stock rev limit which is more than I am comfortable with. Both you and I have spent lots of time with the vortech unite and both seen upwards of 4.8v on the stock pulley. And yes I am familiar with how much of a gap there is between 4.8 and 5.0. The race unit is intended for those wanting to go below the 3.00" pulley in which you would be pushing the limits of the maf extremely quickly. And although you could hack tables by over fueling via rpm and a fixed load I personally would prefer switching to speed density. But it's all up to your tuners preference.

Sorry if my post came out referencing oft not bring able to support more than the stock pulley. I was mostly refrencing the upgraded unit.

Did you get the warranty information in the kit?
Pretty sure its a 1 year limited warranty with an optional 3 year 36000 mile powertrain warranty (with limitations)

Did you fill out your warranty registration card and read over the terms and conditions?

I think he is asking if EcuTek is capable of running a solely speed density tune with the MAP sensor and not using any input from the MAF sensor in the tune.

I just installed my Vortech kit 2 weeks ago. It came with a Dayco 89052 idler pulley. $14 at Amazon.

That would be an ecutek question and not a vortech question. Sure you could, but if this is due to your sensor problems I would recommend doing as I told you and test someone else's sensor before moving forward. As doing a full time SD map would be rather time consuming if its just to get beyond your MAF. You would also need to install an IAT if you were completely removing the MAF from the tube.

Did not, just the instructions.

I wasn't aware that there is a registration either.

It should have been included in the box that you got from vortech. Did a shop do the install?

http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/page.php?id=33514

Get the warranty registration card and fill it out, then read over the terms and conditions etc.
