hi guys! what would the the widest tires that can fit an 18x9.5 +38 if dropped with eibach pro-kit (1") and stock struts? I'm going with a square setup to still keep my tire rotation ability. I'm currently running 225/35 but I'm really hating the stretch. coilovers are currently not in my budget right now.

Easy fit for 245/35R18, you should be able to fit 255's also, depends on your camber and clearance.

I take it you already have the wheels and 225/35 tires installed? Take a photo from the side of the wheel and post it.

Check your inner clearance too, how close is the edge of the wheel to the strut? On an 18" wheel, the closest part to the spring flange is the rim itself, so you should be okay on the inside.

How bad do 245s look on 7.5" wheels?

edit:

Am looking at 17x7.5 +35 NT03+Ms, I'd probably want to run 245s on them. I'm guessing 245/35/17?

Reminds me of this:

But seriously, 245s are too wide for 7.5" wide wheels.
Ideal width is 8.5" for this tire. or go to a 225/40R18 or 225/45R17

OK. more background... 80% track car. Not looking to set lap records, just a fun predictable drive on the track. So tire size is not 100% the most important factor, but I'd like something that's not too heavy, not looks focused, etc. So I'd probably be okay with 225s, and I see the 17x7.5"s available in the right color I'm interested in. So maybe I'd just be okay with 225's then, not sure... those 9.5"s available in that wheel are just too big I'd guess, until I get coils to help reduce the chance of rubbing.

So I'm looking to get the SA15R but not sure what size to go with. I have stock suspension at the moment but plan on dropping 1-1.5 inch so what tire/rims should I go with?

17x7.5 +45
18x7.5 +45
18x8.5 +48
18x9.5 +48

Guys,

I need some help. I am going to order the summer wheels in a couple of days.

Right now, within my budget is the XXR wheels. Before I order the rims and tires, I would like to get some feedbacks from you guys regarding the brand, wheel specs. and tire sizes before I pay the money to the store.

First, are these XXR wheels made of low pressure cast or high pressure gravity cast?

Second, the rim specs. is 18x8.75 ET35mm 5x100 with 225/40/18 tires at all corners with stock suspension setup (I am still debating whether buying Eibach pro-kit springs or not).

Third, is it possible to use a little wider tire size such as 235 at all corners or staggered sizes based on the rim specs.? If wider tires, will the tires hit the shock struts?

Fourth, with the offset 35mm, will the wheels flush with the fenders?

Please advise, thanks.

No clue, I'm sure someone else here can answer that

You can do this, however I would suggest to go for 245/35/18 and the Eibach pro-kit drop.
Need pictures? Sure, this way ->

Wider Tires no problem, up to 245 is no issue (done this myself) and I'm pretty sure 255 would fit aswell. Dont go for staggered setup unless you want more understeer on your car.

For Flushness, see pictures I've linked above.

Hope this helps

Wow, very nice setup. Are all the tires 245/45/18? If so, I would get the same setup for all corners.

Regarding the eibach pro-kit springs, are they compatible to the OEM shocks? Do you feel hard bouncing when you are driving on the road?

Anyway, thanks for the help. I know what I am going to order.

Thanks.
Tires are 245/35/18 all around. (245/45/18 are way to big in diameter, dont use them)
The Pro-kit does really preserve the stock "comfort", since its only lowering the car about 1" and therefore the stock shocks can still handle the bumps. So yes, with the pro-kit springs you can keep the OEM shocks, and ride quality is still good and comfortable (not much difference from stock ride quality)

So, what would you suggest for the tires? I don't want 225 all around.

245/35/18, all four, as stated before:-)

Just dont take 245/--45--/18

If you should not know what the figures stand for:
245= 245mm wide
35= 35% Tire flank to the wide (so 35% of 245mm= 85.7mm)
18= For 18" Rims

If you would take a 45 Tire flank (like in 245/45/18) it would be 110.2 mm and therefore way to big in diameter.
